I firmly believe that one should not interfere with nature...
This summer I've witnessed two baby Red Breasted Robbins out of their nests early. Too early for flight, and too early to fend for themselves. All I can do is photograph, and not interfere. Always the right thing to do. Unless the domestic cat interferes, then it is appropriate to step in. Domestic cats are not wild. I'll check on this little one tomorrow evening after work.
Update: I couldn't find it.
Update two: Found it. This morning it was in the same place on the lawn, and Momma bird was feeding it. She would feed a little, then fly back up into the tree. I'm hoping this little one will learn to fly soon.
What did 'we' do for Halloween Eve?
Behold... The massacre of three pumpkins for the entertainment of the ghouls and goblins.
And now for this years pumpkins.

Arriving on B.I. I have much more, but will get to them probably when I get back home.
I have pictures of this recent trip from one of the new exhibits. Enjoy! :D
Edit: Sorry! They are on my photoblog there in the link list under "My Stuff".
Check out my photoblog link, if you'd like to see some pictures from my trip.
I put up some new pictures yesterday from Lambertville, NJ. Enjoy. I got to go inside and sit in the firetruck. ARrrrr Arrr arrr arrrr...
There are some still photographs up on my photoblog for anyone who wishes to see them. Back to exporting video I go.
On my photoblog you will find a recent entry of a House Centipede, which are common in basements. This little bugger was about two inches in length (HUGE to me). *shivers again*
I stuck up a fresh crop of one of my photographs from Block Island. Back to loafing.
I updated the banner graphic to a photograph I took of a sunset. It was getting too stagnant for me.
Working working... Listening to music... I had to write an abuse complaint to an ISP today. This particular person keeps coming back disrupting rooms, and harassing users. I just don't understand why someone would spend any amount of their time doing this. It's like 'they' have nothing better to do with their time. A suggestion for those of you who feel you NEED to do this. Go take a walk outside or something. Get a hobby. Read a book. IMHO... Harassing users at a chat site saying how lame they are makes you a huge hypocrite.
Going to grab "Cursed" to watch, IF it's in at BlockBuster Video. BlockBuster now allows you to keep your rental for a full week now. However, there are still the people that keep the movies past the 7 days that wind up getting charged a late fee. These people are bold enough to think they shouldn't have to pay the late fee - and stand there wasting everyones time arguing with the clerk(s)? You deserve to get charged! Being so unthoughtful of others as to keep a movie for over 7 days.
On the way back from errands we stopped and purchased two glasses of lemonade that the kids here were selling. It was worth it for the kids. However, the lemonade *coughs* needs a bit of work. We spent $1 for two glasses.
Music Albums Listened To:

More Family Stuff:
I called my Father yesterday, and he seems to be doing quite well. He was working in the yard when I called. And I heard everyone there yell for him. Hahaha. For fourth of July weekend he is heading up to his parents (my Grandparents) to install a new tile floor for their kitchen. Should be relatively easy for him since he's done it before. My father is a machinist. He actually showed me the big computer machines he works with on a daily basis punching in schematics, and making parts for construction companies and such. It's neat.
We went to see Madagascar today. I liked it. It was cute and funny. :)
I also called twice today to see if my black and white photographs came in. No luck. The guy at the shop said they are taking a little longer than usual. Grrrrr! Anyway, the next delivery in is Monday. I hope they come in.
I dropped off my black and white Tri-X film for developing at the local camera shop. I should get them back in a week or so. Meh! I can't wait. I'm like all excited.
I've uploaded a picture to my Photoblog as a teaser for what's to come for public viewing. Hope you enjoy it. Better ones are coming soon. Probably this evening sometime. But first I must export and resize them, which won't take too long.
I had one of my Arturo Fuente Rothchild cigars last evening, and it was damn tasty with my scotch. Mmmm...
I'm craving pizza... Ugh!
Little Arrow woke me up hacking at around 4 a.m. The little guy coughed up a huge hair ball. I don't know why they call them hair balls when they look like stomach turds. Anyway, I turned on the bathroom light and he was snuggled against the wall in what I call the 'bunny' position (with his paws under him) - Just staring at the hair ball. When I turned on the light he kept looking at it, then looking at me. So, I picked it up and flushed it. Then gave him pets, and talked to him in a nice calm voice. He then trotted in and jumped up on the bed to lay with Mommy for a bit. I'm guessing this is his first or second hair ball since birth. He looked traumatized about it. But now he's ok. Going to have to get him some hair ball remover (goopy stuff) to mix with his food. That way he will hopefully poop it out instead of puking it up. I don't know anyone that likes to puke do you? <-- rhetorical question.
Even though it was a bit of a bear to do. It's not a point and click kind of thing. LOL Weird things kept happening. Like for some reason I was having difficulty scanned the negatives to a file. It kept saying, "Can not find negative". So, I'm sitting here fighting with this damn Epson scanner. I swear the damn thing behaves like SCSI logic. LOL Next time I will pay extra for my photos on CD. Or maybe I'll send them to a friend of ours to scan professionally.
Anyway, they are up on my photoblog.
I dropped off my roll of black and white over at CVS, and my pictures will not be ready until 8 p.m. or so. There was a woman in front of me printing out over 100 photographs. Ugh. Anyway, I have to run back out at 8 p.m. to pick up my pictures. Oh well. I'm hoping this girl that was doing the processing wasn't yes'ing me to death. I'm going to be so cranky if she did.
Update: Yah! I have the photos. I think a have a couple that are ok. Will see how they come out after scanning the negatives tomorrow.
Went out to get some red wine for dinner, and grocery shopping. Before doing that though we trucked over to Starbucks for some yummy coffee. Makes having to run through the grocery store on the weekend some what tolerable.
After that...
I went for a walk with the cameras. I took my Canon A85, and the OM-2n to finish off the roll. The roll is finished now, and it's waiting to be dropped off at the local photo place. Maybe I'll drop that off this weekend or early in the week. I have a few color photographs on my Canon that I downloaded that came out rather well. The bee shots we pretty hard to get though. They were VERY active. Meaning they would not sit for too long. I THINK I got a good shot in black and white, but won't be able to tell till it's developed.
I'll have my Canon digital photos up when they are edited.
Update: The photographs from my walk are up on my Photoblog.
This is another review of the digital camera I have. The pictures on my photoblog are from this little baby. Here is the review from Photobird.
I woke up from a night of nightmares and freaky dreams - Each time waking up with my head pounding for some reason.
I went for a walk today with my camera and an old OM2 film camera. We haven?t shot any film with it yet, and it needs to be tested. However, the automatic setting we think is broken. So, I just took my Canon A85 with me for any automatic pictures. I?ve taken 5 black and whites with the OM2 (on a 24 roll). When shooting with film I?m a little more selective with the shots. Plus I purchased this black and white film that is not the standard black and white film. It seems to be processed like the color photographs now. I wonder if it will be just as inexpensive as developing color now? And I wonder if it will be processed in an hour like the color film? Hmmm? Won?t know till I finish the roll and take it in.
When I got back I plugged in my camera and the Canon Browser application no longer works. Not compatible with Tiger OS. Ugh! So, I fire up the ?Image Capture? utility to change the application default to iPhoto. Done. Photos are imported. The one thing I hate about iPhoto is that you can?t have more than one location for your photos (without using some third party application), and you can?t have more than one Library loaded. I want the ability (APPLE?) to have MANY libraries loaded without having to mix all my photographs into one. I also design graphics, so this ability would really be pleasing.
Today... I also cut up some fresh pineapple, strawberries, and kiwi to throw together with some Non Fat Cottage Cheese. It was damn scrumptious, and healthy.
I'm copying over the network these pictures to edit and put up in a day or two. So, look for them in a day or two.
Update: These photos are up. Check out my photoblog link.
Evil Kitty of Doom!! Fear him! FEEEEAARR HIM!
*lol* This is our friend Dorothy's cat. He's really a sweety. *winks*
Most of my photographs from my NY trip are up on my Photoblog. You might want to check them out, if you are interested. The overall trip was good. It was nice to get away from home for a bit. My Administration work piled up in my inbox, but I can't complain. It was nice to see the parents, and nice to meet a few of our clients.
I put up a short video on my photoblog from yesterdays snow storm. The link to the photoblog is to the left there in the menu.
I recently submitted one of my sunset pictures that I took on Block Island to another site to get some feedback on it. You know how I love feedback. *chuckles* Whether it's like/disliked, and why. So far I've gotten a 5 star rating for this specific picture. I guess they loved the photo there, and it seems to be a nice community.
Brrrr... It's cold. *smiles*
Well, the photos are up. What's new... Check Photoblog.

Some pictures from my Block Island trip for this day are up on my photoblog. More will be going up by date taken as soon as I can get them up. I'm doing work also between doing photos, and listening to music. That reminds me... I need to put my 'James - Laid" album on my iPod. I seriously miss listening to that one.
What's up now:

2004.10.27 Lunar Eclipse
There is a lunar eclipse tonight at 10:30 pm. Going to do my damndest to get some good pictures of it. Now to put some more Marilyn Manson on my iPod. I found a nice table below, which turned out to be really good. The table is from Mr. Eclipse. You can search for his pages in google.

UPDATE: I've got pictures! *huge smile* I will be going through these tomorrow for uploading to my Photoblog.
Took a car trip for a walk and some photographs. I filled up my 256MB card, and half way went through my 32MB card. It was nice to get out of the house for a while. Hopefully I will have some good photos to share. Now to download the photos and go through them.
Be sure to check out MyPhotoblog. I put up some new black and whites that I took recently on a walk around the house. Enjoy.
