32 icegiants and a wakeup...

Playing RS for a bit after a long day of moving. I'm seriously addicted to this RPG game. I've been playing for quite some time now. Easy to veg-out to. It's better than TV, for me.

Laguna Beach, CA - 2

Quick update

Day of Travel and Arrival:

Seven hours in the air, and 2 hours on the ground. We had a lay over in Dallas, Ft Worth. Jesus that airport is huge. The changed the gate on us once, which killed an hour going back and forth to the correct gate of departure.

I did not get motion sickness at all, which is quite strange. I usually start throwing up 15 minutes after being in the air. I think it was the combination of my Wellbutrin and Prozac together, because I think my motion sickness is triggered by my anxiety and panic attacks. Yah for no puking!

After picking up our bags from the baggage claim; We humped it over to the rent-a-car to get a car. We rented a new Toyota with only 100 miles on it. We took off to head over to Fashion Island to get the one I'm betrothed to makeup she needed. After that I said lets go to Starbucks for coffee and a snack.

Then it was to the Sister in-laws... After being there for a bit we went to dinner at the "Boom Boom Room", and stayed for the drag show that started at 10:30 PM. We had a reserved table up front, and I was the object of their desire. *LOL* The first girl asking me if I was gay or straight. I knew better than to answer the question, because it would further keep her going. The second girl kept making eye contact with me, shook my hand, then positioned her cheek for kissing. I laughed, blushed and obliged. She kissed me back on the cheek. Red lips on my cheek the rest of my evening. *chuckles* My partner kept laughing, because out of all the guys there the girls kept fixating on me. She thought it was cute. I found the attention flattering.

First Day Here:

We all went for a walk around the neighborhood up to Moulton Meadows Park. I took my camera with me on the walk, and took some pictures.

Later after 4 PM went in to town. My partner wanted to buy me another early birthday present. A pair of Oakley FLAK Jacket poloarized sunglasses. I love them already. Once that was done we walked over to the local grocery store to pick up food for dinner, New York Steaks. Mmmmm... While there I picked up some whey protein shake mix (1lb. chocolate container) for $20. I need the extra protien. It's easy for me to down a glass of milk at breakfast when I really don't have much of an appetite. A chocolate protein shake should be easy as well.

5/20/2007... The past few days.

Laguna Beach: We stopped off to get frozen yogurt, then we took a walk around the top part of the beach. Took some photos.

Laguna Dog Park: We picked up coffee and a danish before, ate the danish in the car, then went in to hang out with the dogs for a bit. Food is not permitted in the dog park.

Farmer's Market: I've never been to a farmers market that let you taste test the food. It was fun.

Venice Beach: Walked along the boardwalk. Stopped for lunch. Bought a hoody. The melting pot of people there is oddly interesting.

Huntington Dog Beach: Walked the length of the dog beach and hung out. Bought a hoody, and a baseball cap. It was an overcast day. Temperature was around 69F a little windy.

After that we dropped off the dogs at home, then headed over to Ervine. Where it was sunny and around 75F. We had a snack and some beers at the Yard House, then we walked through the outside mall to the theatre to see Shrek 3. We headed back home and sat around till we headed out for dinner at this restaurant with Jazz music, "Partners Bistro". The dinner was wonderful. Desert was sinful. To finish off the night we had 20 year old port. The jazz band playing was "Hollywood Comb Overs".

Took a trip to San Juan Capistrano to take a self guided tour of the mission. Afterwords we stopped off across the street at Senor Pedro's Tacos for a bite to eat.

Laguna Beach, CA - 1

First set of photos from CA. All but the dog, airport gate, and John Wayne were taken from inside the car while moving. More photos to come. If you want to see them head over to my photoblog.

It's been overcast for the past couple of days.

Current Mood: sorry i woke up this am
Current Music: elliott smith - twilight

I woke up with one this morning, and I have to work from 8 to 5. I do not know how I'm going to get through this day. I packed up a lot of food in my lunch box. A sandwich, microwave popcorn, two trail mix bars, honey roasted nuts, soy nuts, fresh pineapple, and a thermos of 100% juice. Will I eat it all, no. I just never know what, if anything, I will be able to eat when I have a migraine. Unfortunately, I haven't eaten any breakfast. I'm nauseated. Coffee, and pain killers (over the counter) are my only friend right now. And I'm only sipping the coffee at that.

head s'plody...

July 11, 2006

I've been working a lot lately. Haven't had time to do much of anything hobby wise, or even creative. I slept in today, which felt great. Nice to sleep in and not get up at 5:45 a.m. That and working two jobs keeps you pretty much exhausted all the time.

June 18, 2006

I'm tired... So tired...

That is all...

It was a long day at the second job. I'm glad I have tomorrow off.

June 6, 2006

Phone call from a psychopath...

At 9:42pm 6/5/06 I received a 1 minute and 21 second threatening call from a private number. All I did was say (in the middle of the conversation), "I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong number." The altered voice says, "I know who the fuck I'm talking to! He/she states my number aloud, and then starts spouting, "I'll fix you you cunt whore bitch!" He/she hung up after that.

It would have been more upsetting if He/She were calling me a "Bastard asshole motherfucker dick". *shrugs* If you are going to talk dirty to me you be sure not to hide your number and alter your voice, Coward.

Anway, I need to call Cingular and see if there is something that can be done about it.

*shakes my head and goes on happily with my day*

Update: I now have the phone number for the psycho. It showed up on my minute log online after a few days. No reverse lookup shows anything other than it's a number out of Canbury, NJ. I guess I have to think of a good situation to social engineer the call to get who it is. Guess I'll be doing that from a payphone pretty soon.

June 5, 2006

Day off 1 of 3... Kinda sorta...

So, I finished my Administration work for the wife. Now I'm working on my models, and laundry. I made BLTs for food, because the oatmeal I had for breakfast is gone. My tummy is killing me. My hunger pains have been worse lately. A little more obvious than usual, and I'm not sure why. I've been eating more as well, but not gaining any weight. Maybe my system is working a little faster than usual, because of the physical nature of my ACT job. *shrugs* Who knows.

iBook - Apple Repair

Apple... *sighs and shakes my head*

Instead of me sending my laptop back in for yet another repair they are sending me a new battery. When I get that I'm suppose to send back my old one. They somehow think this is the fix. I hope they are right.

My iBook came back...

My New iBook G4 is screwed now...

My iBook came back...

I got my laptop back today from Apple Repair. I loathe getting a repaired laptop back from them now. It never goes right. Anyway... They fixed the laptop assembly battery (CMOS battery), but the laptop still dies when you unplug it from the power adaptor. It will not start up again unless it is plugged back in to the power adaptor. After startup it is now holding the date and time correctly, and remembering my network settings. BUT... It's still shutting off after you unplug it from the power adaptor. So, my assumption is that said laptop has an issue with the battery, and or charging board. The reason the laptop lasts as long as it does when you unplug it from power is that the new CMOS battery is trying to keep it up and running. This is why the CMOS battery was drained completely in the first place. Now on the phone with Apple Repair again. Wondering why they did not check to see if replacing the CMOS / laptop assembly battery fixed the issue.

Prior post...

My New iBook G4 is screwed now...

The issue started while I was away for vacation at Block Island. I would unplug the power cord, and in the middle of doing something it was just shut off. No warning. Just blackness. I plug it back in, boot up, and the date & my network settings are whiped. It does this whenever I unplug it from the power adaptor now.

- unplugging power adaptor shuts off laptop.
- after booting up my date & network settings are whiped.
a. date reset to December 1969 in iCal... And in my system bar it says it's reset to 2001, and I should change it.
b. network settings gone.

Time to call Apple. I just got this thing November 23, 2005.

This is the iBook G4 1.33GHz, 512k level 2 cache, 512MB of DDR SDRAM, 40GB Ultra ATA hard drive.

P.S. - Resetting the PRAM did not fix it.

Update: Now I wait for the delivery of my box to send back my laptop for repair.

May 15, 2006

Here are the pictures. It's not painted yet.

We wound up heading up to Block Island from the 10th through the 15th for a little quiet relaxation. It was nice not having to work either one of my jobs. It rained most of the time, but we didn’t care. Had fun going to the bar, ate homemade pie, and played KENO every night we were there. Let’s just say it was a bad week for KENO.

When at the house... I read, built my rocket ( thanks for helping sand, babe! ), repaired a few rockets, listened to music, and hung out with our cats Arrow & Lana. Oh, and called Mom for Mother’s Day.

The ferry ride over, and from, was ruff both times. Blech.

A few photos of what the weather was like...

April 27, 2006

Parotitis... Part doo... *chuckles*

Went to the E.N.T. today. Got back a bit ago. He said I have some scarring / trauma in the back where the parotoid gland empties into my mouth from grinding and clinching my teeth. So, I have to wear a mouth guard at night when I sleep. Joy! I have to go back in 6 weeks for a checkup. If it isn’t better by then (the scarring and whatnot) he will prescribe medication to relax me at night to help me sleep, and to keep me from clinching my jaw.

Prior Post:

Update: My mouth piece is all ready, and molded for my first night of sleeping with it. Oh, joy. [sarcasm]

April 25, 2006

Fucking Jaw...

I went to the doctor today, because my jaw was acting up again. TMJ symptoms, and whatnot.

The doctor seems to think that my Paratoid gland on my right side has a stone. He's stuck me on antibiotic for now, and referred me to an ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) specialist for it. I also have to stay away from acitic foods. There goes one of my favorite drinks, orange juice. Grrrrrrrrr... Anyway, My appointment is for Thursday and it's $150 just to walk into the office. *shakes my head* I'm NOT happy.

April 12, 2006

I now have another job... As well as...

*chuckles* I should have a new Furry Fury a week from now, maybe sooner. We'll see. I've been preoccupied with my new kitten, Lana. She's a hand full, and she's got me punk'd.

R.I.P. - Darcie Marie

1991 - 2006
Darcie passed away this evening.
Thursday, March 16th, 2006 just before 9 p.m.
Complications from Advanced Lymphoma.

Darcie was infamous in her time, and went by many nicknames. Dar-Roo, Dar-Cougen, Dar-Dar, Fuzzy Girl, and Girly. Most of you may recognize her from the “Furry Fury” episodes. She loved basking in the sun where ever it could be found. Her favorite treat... Moist Whisker Lickin's tuna flavor. Her favorite toy... A balled up piece of paper whacked, and chased around on the kitchen floor. This was a sight to see, and often left observers laughing madly. She loved snuggling in the laps of her loved ones, and often came to bed to snuggle during the night. Darcie was an awesome bedtime snuggler. She loved laying in your armpit with her head on the pillow (or your arm), and tucked under the covers. She had a purr so loud it often kept you awake, and sounded similar to a pigeon coup. No Joke. When Darcie growled she sounded like a small cougar. Hence the nickname Dar-Cougen. Beautiful girly... She was a fighter to the end... Our little trooper. You are already missed, sweety. Love You, Forever.

My B.I. Trip

After we arrived at Point Judith we parked at the hotel across the street, and waiting on the parents to arrive. I nodded off, and as I woke up they were pulling into the ferry lot. The ferry was another hour and a half away. We parked over at Champlin’s, and went in when they opened for Bloody Marrys. The ride over on the ferry was ok.

While there we had good food, good spirits, family, and friends.

The ride back to the mainland was even better than the ride to Block Island. We arrived home safe.

Some pictures will be up in a day or two on my Photoblog.

Santa was good to me...

And there was WAY too much drinking on my part...

Thank you to all my family & friends for all the WONDERFUL gifts.

Meh! I can’t call my Brother or Father till I get home to PA. My cell signal sucks here in N.Y.

Now it's time for packing up to head home.

A few pictures to come... There was Wild Turkey on Christmas day. *chuckles*

Family Update...

I've been phoned by my Step Father today... Informing me that my Aunt called (on my Mother's side) saying that Grandpa (My Mother's Father) is in the hospital for Congestive Heart Failure, and there is nothing more they can do for him.

I was also told that my Brother is back in the hospital. He fell, and hit his head. He's been seizing, and the doctors are still running tests. I'll be calling him later today to see how he is doing.

I think it’s time for a walk with the camera…

So Sick...

I've been sick over a week now with a horrible cold. Ugh. I hate being sick.

November 30, 2005

Just got off the phone with my Grandpa at the hospital. He seems in good spirits, and he can't wait to get out in a couple of days. He fell while at work, and broke his hip. They did some sort of hip replacement, and they are going to be getting him up to walk for the first time today.

Grandpa says that Grandma is a nervous wreck though. She's nervous about driving by herself to the hospital and such. And she's nervous about being left home alone. Oh, Grandma... :|

Thanksgiving was on Block Island this year. T'waz good. Took pictures, which are going to take me a bit to go through and put up. I've put up some photos of the time before on Block Island.

I wound up getting a little food poisoning from a burger ordered at one of the local bars there. After that... I caught a cold. Mmmmm.. Yummy.

A reminder: You who uses MT-Close must make sure to uncheck all blogs 'cept yours. ;)

My iBook is back...

From Apple repair. New drive installed, and I'm disappointed that they didn't do what they said they were going to do. They installed Jaguar back on my iBook. When they specifically said that Tiger would be installed instead, since I already own it. They replaced the other drive with an IBM model.

I wiped and reinstalled Tiger OS. The new IBM drive is periodically making a HECK of a lot of noise (the same damn clicking the other drive made, except louder) through the install. The machine will not boot, and I'm getting the same issues I was having with the previous bad drive.

As I said before... Apple Repair is problematic.

1. Innitial repair... It was sent in to have the power managment replaced/fixed. It was dead as a door nail. No boot. $300+ repair cost for that. Fine.

2. I get it back... Missing my battery, and a huge scratch on the inside of the bottom of the laptop case. It goes back in for repair to replace the bottom of the case, and for a new battery.

3. I get it back again... Apple replaced my working drive (the Toshiba) when last sent in when it didn't need to be replaced. The rapair? Replace the bottom of the case they badly scratched. That was it, but somehow my good hard drive gets replaced.

4. I send it back in to have this lemon (Toshiba) drive replaced. I get it back today.. What do I get? Another lemon drive (IBM) this time. Doing the same thing the previous lemon drive did. Here is the sound it makes. Yummy, aye? OS will not boot.

Apple Tech classifies my laptop as a looper. A looper? It is Apple Tech's unofficial term for a machine that constantly comes back in for repairs. The fault of Apple Repair, really. I kept getting botched repairs. That being said... Now waiting on papers to come in the mail to sign/fill out for an exchange. They are sending me (supposedly) a new laptop after I send this bad lemon back. This total process is going to take like three weeks. I just hope the time is shorter, because I miss my iBook.

Edit: Will give updates as this progresses.

Been Away For Two Weeks...

Block Island was a good getaway. The temperature there was chilly and windy most of the time. Except for the past few days it was around 70F. The ride over on the ferry was a bit ruff, but leaving was quite calm. Lots of photographs were taken, and I'll try to get those up within a few days.

After leaving Block Island we stopped off in N.Y. for the marathon. A lot of walking, a subway ride, and a taxi back to brooklyn. It was a long day for the walkers supporting runners.

Back home now in PA. *sighs* Tired of traveling.

My Sister...

She had her baby at 3 am this morning. She had to have a
c-section. Both are doing fine, though. He weighed 7 lbs 13 ozs and
was 22" long. There was no major problem - she was having trouble
getting dilated enough and then the baby got turned kinda sideways in

Glad she and baby are ok.

October 26, 2005

Block Island, RI

Darcie vomitted on the way up to Point Judith. Car sick/Motion sickness. We pulled over, and cleaned it up, and cleaned her up.

On B.I. now. The ferry trip was a bit rough. The swells were HUGE. I almost puked (motion sickness), and the cats both got sea sick. Both crates had to be cleaned. I had to bathe my girly (14 year old Calico) when we got here, because she got it ALL OVER HER. She had a nice warm bath, and we kicked up the heat to make sure it was super warm in the bathroom when her bath was done. She's happy, clean, and warm. Napping on the bed.

I took pictures on the way. Wooo. Black & white, and color.

I'm dead tired. I haven't slept in 24 hours, plus the motion sickness has worn me down.

Ran out earlier to pick up milk and a few items for cooking. In a bit I'm heading to Club Soda for a few beers, and a big chicken caesar salad. For desert... There is homemade chocolate cream pie that we picked up from the Block Island Depot. You know I'm going to have a BIG piece of it.

7 p.m. or so...

Now home for the evening. Really tired, and awaiting chocolate cream pie. Mmmm... *drools* And all comfy in my flannel jammies. I can't wait to go to bed.

October 24, 2005

My Halloween Costume

I bought a blue jumper, a creepy man mask, a fake knife, and some really good costume blood. I'm going to spatter the blood with a paint brush when I get there on B.I. for the Halloween party. I need to bloody up the knife also, along with spattering of the mask. After all... I'm going as a psychotic killer. I'll post some pictures of my costume when they are taken after completion.

The Barnes Foundation

We drove up to The Barnes Foundation today for a walk through the gallery. To go through the entire gallery it will take you approximatelly three hours, give or take. I have to say it was a wonderful, quiet time out for us. I truly enjoyed it.

Will be heading there from October 26th through November 7th, give or take. Will take pictures, and whatnot. Might stop in N.Y. on the way back to take pictures of the N.Y. Marathon. For you family and friends you can reach me by my cell phone. Don't be shy about calling. I don't bite. I swear. I'll also have access to email, and of course I'll be blogging while there. ;)

My fever broke...

Yah! I'm no longer contagious. Woo! I'm feeling a bit better today. Body aches aren't as bad. I'm still feeling congested, run down, and lack of appetite. Strange I didn't get nauseated though. So, this might not be the flu? Anyway...

October 4, 2005

I have the flu...

OMG, the body aching. I'm not completely nauseated though. Not yet. I hope that does't happen.

September 25, 2005

I've had three so far in two days. One last night, which had me vomiting all night long. One earlier in the morning yesterday, and one the prior evening. I feel so completely run down and tired. If I have another within a week I'll be scheduling an appointment to go to the doctor.

On a side note: I was bitten twice by an insect while I was away on my B.I. trip. While there and partially back home they had turned into little rashes. Red rashes. I think if I go into the doctor I'm going to have them test me for lymes disease.

Guh... who knows... Maybe my hormones are just all out of whack.

September 24, 2005

Crappy Evening...

I wound up getting a migraine earlier in the evening, which seemed to have gone away. Yet I woke up around 7 a.m. and it was back even worse. It felt like something was inside my head trying to break out. I'm feeling run down today. Like something is sucking the life out of me.

Happy Birthday!!!!

Happy Birthday Dear Brother! :D

September 11, 2005

Block Island, RI

We only had one day of overcast the entire time we were there. The rest of it was bright and sunny, so we had to take advantage of spending most of the day on the beach. I couldn't help but feel really tired after each day. The surf was GREAT, and the ocean was the perfect temperature.

I have pictures to go through, and the non-personal ones will go up on my photoblog as usual.

I have a SHIT load of work backed up, and I wish I had a rake.

September 1, 2005

Block Island, RI

Going on a getaway from September 2nd through the 11th. I'll take lots of pictures while away, and put them up when I get back on my photoblog. I'll post single pictures here off and on throughout the time there. Family and friends have my cell number, so don't hesitate to call if you want to chat a bit. Here is the forecast for Block Island, RI.

August 17, 2005

While out getting my hair cut today. We did a bit of shopping at the grocery store for odds and ends. Then dropped off the rented DVD that we watched at BlockBuster Video.

We stopped at Best Buy to pickup up the "Sin City" DVD, and "Asphalt Urban GT" for DS. Along with the purchase of "Sin City" DVD we were given a free copy of "Sin City - A Dame To Kill For" Comic Book. I've devoured it, and found it entertaining.

After Best Buy... We headed to PetCo for food for the kitties, then back home.

Update 10, My Brother

I called him today.. He's at home now. Healing and resting. He sounds with it. He's been through a lot of pain so far. He is going to start physical therapy soon for two weeks. Walking to the bathroom is tiring for him right now, but he manages. I'm happy he's home and healing.

August 15, 2005

Back In PA...

It's late, and I'm beat. It was a longer drive than expected. *sighs*

Update 9, My Brother

My Brother is expected to be released tomorrow sometime. *crosses fingers for him* He's still doing very well.

Amawalk, NY

Well, I've been trying to relax a bit while here. It's not easy, but it's quiet. A nice thing. I have pictures and video to share when I get back, as I said before. Right now it's cool, because of the thunderstorms.

I'll be calling home to Ohio to get an update on my Brother when I get back on Monday, but more like Tuesday. We are going to get home late on Monday night. Traffic is going to suck, but oh well. Nothing I can do about that. Unless I had a time machine. No luck in that! :)

August 13, 2005

Me Flip Video

This video was taken with my Canon A85, with underwater case. It rocks in the pool. :D

More to come after I get home on Monday. This is just a teaser.

House Sitting...

It's Saturday... It's 95 degrees F in the shade... It's over 100 degrees F in the sun. The pool was nice, and kept me cool. I took lots of pictures, and some movies under water. They came out pretty good. I'll be posting some probably on Monday when I get back. Now it's time for preparing for dinner time. Showers, and whatnot.

August 12, 2005

House Sitting...

Well, we are here in Amawalk, NY. House sitting, and taking care of two dogs and Grandma for the weekend. It's HOT, and it's suppose to be hotter (95 degrees, not including himidity). The house is air cooled, but not air conditioned. It's still FRIGGING hot! Sorry, the humidity makes me a crank-a-puss. *chuckles* Tomorrow will be spent in the POOL with my cell phone under the umbrella, and beer. I've never wanted my short hair cut MORE.

This evening there was a bit of a thunderstorm. I recorded video of that, and will put it up on my photoblog in a day or two. It's neat to see.

For those lubbed ones.. You can reach me by my cell. ;)

Update 8, My Brother

The doctors feel that he is doing well enough that they think they want to send him home on Monday. Yeah. That's great news!

August 11, 2005

Update 7, My Brother

He's still doing great, and is now in his own private room. Yah!

However, they still are not allowing phone calls.

Update 6, My Brother

Called to see what he was up to, and he's doing so well that they are going to move him into his private room this evening sometime. I am expecting a call later on tonight sometime with the phone number, so I can call to talk to him. He woke up this am FREAKING hungry, so his wife ran out to Wendy's and bought him some biscuits and gravy, and eggs. He inhaled it all! LOL Yah!

Update 5, My Brother

His wife called. He is doing well. Sitting up, but exhausted. The nurses ask him questions, and he's answering them. Joking around and whatnot. He has a sense of humor, and is teasing the nurses kidding around. *chuckles* He's doing GREAT! He moves out of his ICU room on Thursday sometime.

Update 4, My Brother

Well, his condition is now moved up from critical to severe. He's doing much better, and he's awake talking away in his bed. They took out one of his draining tubes today, so he's more comfortable now. They also had the physical therapy team in there going through his first exercise. Sitting up without help. Yah! His wife is going to call back later today when he wakes up, so I can talk to him a bit. I can't wait.

Update 3, My Brother

He's still in ICU, but he's stable. They took him down a bit ago for a CT scan. They are switching his medication for his brain swelling to see if they can get that down. He's responsive to commands, and knows who everyone is, and knows where he is at. The doctors are giving him a good prognosis, and say that his sleeping and such are normal for his head inguries. BUT... He'll be fine, and make it through. It's just going to be a tuff, and long healing process for him. The doctors say he's improving. I'll let you know if they find anything on the CT scan.

Update: The CT scan came back ok. The doctors still say he's doing well.

My Brother...

My Brother was in an accident three weeks ago today. So, this happened the following weekend after we were there to pickup my cat (Darcie). Brother driving on his motorcycle on one of the main streets there was hit, or he hit a woman that was pulling into her drive way to go home. I don't know who's fault it was, but it's of no consequence really. I'll find out all the details of the actual accident later. My concern is with my Brother right now. He flew 35 feet off of his bike landing on his face. He has pretty much crushed every bone in his face. He tore ligaments in one of his elbows and thumbs. They went in first after getting him stable, and fixed his thumb and elbow with pins. After that he laid in ICU for a few days. They brought him into his own room. Brother complained of really bad headaches, and he seized once. They took him back into surgery to open up his skull to fix the issue. Apparently his skull fractures were not healing the way they were suppose to. After the surgery he went back into ICU. He seized again, and they took him back in. He's back out of surgery now, and still in ICU. No reported further seizures. He is now stable and awake. He should be moved to his own room in two days.

Updates to come...

Update 1: 8/8/2005, He's still in critical care. I found out further information concerning his accident. Apparently this young woman was in a hurry to get home to her sick relative, and didn't even see my Brother coming. My brother had no stopping room, and smacked right into the passenger side of her car. He didn't even have a chance to do anything, but say, "fuck!" IMHO. And he was only a half mile up the main street where the house sits off of. My Brother's wife has already contacted a lawyer there. I call back around 1 p.m. or so to get further information from his wife concerning him.

Update 2: 8/8/2005, Dad called back to say that my Brother woke up this morning and drank a little Ensure, then went back to sleep. They haven't been able to wake him, so they are going to either reduce his pain meds. Or they might put him on something different. I call back at 3 p.m.

5 a.m. Cat Alarm...

We awaken at around 4 a.m. to find Darcie on the bed at our feet. We were surprised by this really. We never figured she would do this, because Arrow usually sleeps with us. She's not completely keen on the boy yet. He's rough, he's inconsiderate, and he frankly just doesn't care if you aren't in the mood. So, she lays at out feet growling off and on at the little guy when he is being too frisky. (I should say, little guy, because he's over 5 pounds of male kitty trouble. I would growl at him too, if I were a female cat. But then... I already growl at him when he over steps his bounds.) We tried to drift off back to sleep. Again with the growling at 5:45 a.m. This time Arrow is completely frisky, and annoying. Darcie is protecting the bed, and trying to keep Arrow from pouncing onto it. Guh... That's it. No point in trying to sleep longer. I get up, and call them out to the kitchen. I make Arrow his breakfast first, and close the door to the bathroom. He doesn't like it when Darcie stares at him while he's eating. Odd, because he LOVES to stare at her when she's eating. I can hear him inhaling it. *rolls my eyes* I make Darcie her breakfast and put it down for her. She's a dainty eater. Very slow. She likes to chew her food. I make coffee while waiting for them to finish. What a morning.

Dentist Today...

I had my dentist visit today to fill the one small cavity I have. It's done, but my head feels funny. While they were filling my tooth I wound up getting a little dizzy headed. A small side effect for me from the Novocain. Our dentist office here is actually pretty good. Comfort wise. Before they give you the shot of Novocain they apply this numbing gel first around the area they are going to give you the shot(s) of Novocain at. Makes for "No Pain" experience. Good for everyone. They are pretty chatty while they work on you. They can be damn funny too.

What's For Dinner...

BBQ_Salmon.jpg Grilled Salmon steaks with mustard glaze (roasted yellow mustard seeds and fresh dill), with mexican rice and steamed squash. Twaz pretty good.

What are the girl and boy kitties doing? So far today, It's been a stare down. Maybe it's more of a show down.

Yeah, so, I've been talking about my cat a lot lately. And yes, I'm going to do it one more time. We introduced Darcie and Arrow yesterday evening. Right now there is mild posturing from both sides. Growling, spitting, swatting. No wounds yet, but I don't think it will get that far. Arrow keeps stalking her like some obsessive boyfriend. She really dislikes that, and is quick to pounce on him when he crosses her bounds of personal space. She doesn't mind sharing a domicile with another cat, but she doesn't necessarily want to be chummy or close. Right now she seems to be tolerating him pretty well I think. I'm hoping it gets better.

Darcie_IMG_1416.jpg She looks a little more bright eyed to me. Not as sickly looking.

July 21, 2005

My girly was waiting for me at the top of the stairs to the basement door this a.m. As soon as she knew beyond a doubt that the feet she saw under the door was me she meowed. I said, "Good morning, girly! I'll be right with you." She meowed more. Not because she wants out, but because she loves her breakfast meal. I open the door and she looks up at me and sits patiently for me to close the door behind me. She runs down the stairs like a mad cat knowing I'm going to fetch her food bowl - meowing. I run back up with her bowl, and she sits at the bottom of the stairs waiting for me to return. She's funny that way. Today is the last day of her ear medication. Yah!

Yesterday we picked up the Oblongs Complete DVD. We watched a few last that night, and laughed our asses off. It's so sick it will crack you up.

Now back to listening to all my Marilyn Manson albums.

July 20, 2005

The Comcast tech came by this a.m. to install our new modem. Our speeds are much better. Now lets see if we still get the latency.

My girl meowed at the door to the basement this morning. Sticking her paws underneath the bottom of the door. *chuckles* She was a hungry girl. Oh, btw. Next Thursday should be the end of her two week quarantine (suggested by the Veterinarian). Yah!

July 18, 2005

Darcie, My Cat

Well, she's officially had her first dose of Methimazol (.5 ml) liquid twice daily. Keeping an eye on her throughout the day. Right now she's sulking in her bed. Mad at me for making her take her medicine. Oh well. Good for the girly in the end, I hope. Should even her out. Help with temperament. Counteract her unbelievable shedding, and unkempt look.

Some further information.

July 17, 2005

I found her on top of the chair... On top of my body board today. Pretty far up. I have NO idea how she got up there wearing her 'cone'. *lol* When she saw me she meowed her hello meow. I picked her up and put her on my shoulder, and she seemed to sit still and like it. I carried her over to her bed on the floor. She sat and waited for me to bring her food down to her. I've been splitting her entire meal for the day in two halves. To keep food in her stomach. Nothing worse than feeling hungry when you don't feel good. Besides, she's never eaten her entire meal for the day in one sitting. She picks at it, but eventually finishes it. I figure it would be nice to have a partial fresh meal at the end of the day. She's now on my lap napping and purring. She's much more talkative. A good thing.

Her medication for her ears is going well. Today will be her third day. On day five I am removing the collar. By then her medication for her ears will have been almost complete (7 days). She's letting me touch her ears now, and scritch them. Darcie didn't let you go anywhere near her ears before her treatment started. All is going well. Now to wait for Monday to arrive. We are waiting on her medication for her hyperthyroidism. I chose liquid form given from an eyedropper. It seemed like the more viable choice right now. Fish flavored.

July 14, 2005

Darcie :(

Darcie_IMG_1408.jpg She had her checkup and shots today. They had to sedate her, because she's a calico and temperamental. ALL calicos are temperamental. While she was out they cut her nails real short, and cleaned her ears. The Vet. tech said, "She had the dirtiest ears I have EVER seen!" I sighed... And gave a sad face. She is healthy, but dehydrated. They gave her fluids while she was out also. I have to treat her ears with meds for seven days, twice a day. She has to keep this sun flower collar on till done - To keep her from digging at her bad ears. It's why she wound up with a califlower ear to begin with. We are still waiting for her geriatric blood screening to come back - Not till Saturday. I hope she's ok.

Update: Her geriatric blood screening came back positive for hyperthyroidism. She has to take medication twice a day for the rest of her life. Unless a radiation treatment is given to kill the bad part of her thyroid. $1200 for the radiation treatment. For her medication it's $22 a month, and $52 for blood tests (which are often) to make sure her medication levels are correct. *sighs*

July 13, 2005

I arrived there in Ohio. Darcie is a bit TOO heavy for her age, and body type. She is officially on a diet. Here is a picture of her after her shower with me. Yes, I jumped in the shower with her. It's easy that way. No fuss, No muss! Below are pictures of her sleeping on my desk. She looks comfy.

How am I suppose to get any work done now?

Quick Trip...

We will be heading off to pick up my cat Darcie in Ohio. It's going to be 16 hours of driving both ways. We should be back sometime on the 13th. She has a Vet. appointment here in PA on the 14th for a checkup and shots to get her up to date. I miss the old puddy-girl.

Ugh.. The weather there... From

Rainy Days...

Did a lot of stuff today. We went by the hobby shop, and I picked up some paints and a three pack of D engines for when I finally get my D Engine Rocket built. We (since it was given to us from our nephew & family to both of us rocketeer) have the Phoenix. Right now I'll be finishing the Black Diamond that I got for my birthday. Going to work on it this evening. I'll take a picture of it when it's complete. I can't wait to get to the paints.

While out I also picked up another cat carrier for my cat Darcie. We are picking her up in Ohio from the 11th through the 14th. We will be staying one night only, if things go right. Then leaving the next day with her. I picked up some Eukanuba Mature Cat food for her. She's 14 now, and I don't want her eating food loaded full of dies and other crap.

July 6, 2005

Oooo Oooo Ahhh Ahhh...

The day started off with the Comcast tech showing up, and replacing our modem with a loner till we buy a new one. We picked up a new one at Best Buy, so he will come by tomorrow and install it. Not that we need him to, but he has to pick up his modem anyway. While at Best buy I picked up two CDs of "Breaking Benjamin". Albums are "Saturate" & "We Are Not Alone". I also went to the dentist today for a checkup & cleaning with x-rays. I had not seen a dentist since 1999. In 1999 I had a facial cavity. They could not fill it then. Today the cavity is a bit bigger. Big enough to fill now. Not bad that I only had that one since 1999. The dentist said to keep up the good work, and caring about my teeth enough to brush and floss every day - multiple times a day. I go back at the end of this month to have the filling completed (gives a big healthy smile). Now off to catch up on my Administrative work that has piled up.

July 4th Weekend...

13 Mosquito bites, odd scratches and bruises. I still can't figure out how I got most of the scratches and bruises. *shrugs* Anyway. Thank god the heat let up, or I'd be cranky as all hell. But it was humid.

July 4, 2005

4th Of July...

What am I doing right now... I'm patching an XP2 system, Updating software (ie: Firefox, Thunderbird, iTunes, Spyware Blaster, Spybot S&D, etc.) And While doing that I'm listening to 2600: The Hacker Quarterly. Fireworks? Who needs fireworks when one has Estes Model Rockets?

Note for Kim.... The D engine rocket I have only goes up to 200 FT or so. Has to do with the weight of the rocket, and design. *nods* So, I could shoot it off at home. ;)

July 2, 2005

Amawalk, NY

The trip went ok, but there was a bit of traffic getting here. It's hot and It's humid. Today is 63% humidity.

Arrow Our Cat

Late last night I gave Arrow (our cat) my Linux Voodoo Doll. He attacked it right away. Tore out it's eye, and now look at it. Here is a short movie of him playing with it.

And here is a short video of him shredding a paper towel ball. He LOVES doing this.

Update: I've gotten these files down smaller to .mov files, which are compatible to all browsers. Enjoy!

June 25, 2005

*shivers* Spider

There was a spider on my desk this morning just to the right of my hand sitting there looking at me. *gasp* I was "ok" till it moved at me, then it had to die. It was a little furry black one. No markings. At least no markings I could see. I'm afraid of spiders. :(

Tonight we are planning to go to this TV Preview that we have tickets for. It's a focus group for new TV shows, and TV Ads. We are going to be subjected to 2 hours of this stuff. I have no idea what they will be showing till we get there. Maybe I'll blog about it afterward.

- Throws on some Infected Mushroom to listen to.

Update: Well, we didn't go to the TV Preview. There was too much work, and whatnot. Ugh.

June 21, 2005

Music, and Work

Working working... Listening to music... I had to write an abuse complaint to an ISP today. This particular person keeps coming back disrupting rooms, and harassing users. I just don't understand why someone would spend any amount of their time doing this. It's like 'they' have nothing better to do with their time. A suggestion for those of you who feel you NEED to do this. Go take a walk outside or something. Get a hobby. Read a book. IMHO... Harassing users at a chat site saying how lame they are makes you a huge hypocrite.

Going to grab "Cursed" to watch, IF it's in at BlockBuster Video. BlockBuster now allows you to keep your rental for a full week now. However, there are still the people that keep the movies past the 7 days that wind up getting charged a late fee. These people are bold enough to think they shouldn't have to pay the late fee - and stand there wasting everyones time arguing with the clerk(s)? You deserve to get charged! Being so unthoughtful of others as to keep a movie for over 7 days.

On the way back from errands we stopped and purchased two glasses of lemonade that the kids here were selling. It was worth it for the kids. However, the lemonade *coughs* needs a bit of work. We spent $1 for two glasses.

Music Albums Listened To:
Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm A Machine
Tool - Aenima
Tool - Undertow
Rage Against The Machine - Evil Empire

More Family Stuff:
I called my Father yesterday, and he seems to be doing quite well. He was working in the yard when I called. And I heard everyone there yell for him. Hahaha. For fourth of July weekend he is heading up to his parents (my Grandparents) to install a new tile floor for their kitchen. Should be relatively easy for him since he's done it before. My father is a machinist. He actually showed me the big computer machines he works with on a daily basis punching in schematics, and making parts for construction companies and such. It's neat.

June 20, 2005

Family Stuff...

I called my Step Dad today to see how he was doing, and to wish him a Happy Father's Day. I found out that he recently got remarried, which is a bit odd considering he just got divorced late April early May. This was a bit disturbing for me to hear really. I'm still a bit put off by it. Now I really feel awkward. I'm going to have to call my brother soon to see what his thoughts are on this. I congratulated him anyway on his new marriage.

June 16, 2005

What A Long Long Day...

Got up early ran over to Starbucks for coffee. Then ran wife-y over to the clinic to have an ultrasound test done of her abdomen - Just a checkup. I watched and it was quite cool to see her insides on the screen. We then headed back home to pick up my cloths that I received over my birthday that were too small, or just not my style. Went to the mall for that, but now it's done. After that we ran to Best Buy to return a movie that we wound up buying the wrong version of. We wanted widescreen instead of the full screen version. THEN it was over to pickup some more cat food for little "Arrow Boy" (Our cat. My nickname for him :P), and some ear cleaning solution. Back home we drove to pickup Arrow for his 2 p. m. Vet. appointment. He needed his last baby booster shot, and a general checkup. He is now 3.4 pounds and a healthy, growing, little boy kitten. His last visit he weighed 2.9 pounds. And of course we received the "Awwww, he's so handsome!". LOL After that it was straight home for the end of day. I then made salads for food. And I just now finished up my administration work, and I'm damn tired. Time for beer and relaxation! Shortly I'm going to upload an mp3 file of Arrow playing with the ping pong ball in the bathtub. Hehehe

Here it is... Arrow - PingPong Bathtub

June 15, 2005

Our Cable Modem... And Arrow

So, we call Comcast Cable today to put in a tech call for our network here. We think the modem is dying or Comcast has some other network issue in our area that they are not admitting to. Seeing as the modem is sitting here in Ranging mode - I think it's the modem. It's well over two years old now, maybe three. The tech will not be here till Friday morning to debug any issues. It's back up for now.

Oh well. No work for me for the rest of the day. Time to work on finishing my DVD videos, listening to music, and reading. Maybe work on a new design.

Arrow last night late was playing with a ping pong ball in the bathtub. Yep! That's right! A ping pong ball in the bathtub. Just use the bathtub stopper to plug it up and let the ball rip. He was entertained for a VERY long time. And right now I hear the ping pong ball swirling around the tub as I type. Hahaha! It's equivalent to watching a good game of footy.

What A Day...

After finishing my Administrative work load for the day I started working on converting some MPEG video to VOB output for DVD burning. It's coming along "ok" I suppose. I'm still waiting for DVD Lab to convert my files to videots and audiots along with the menu system for burning. And thank god that my videos are under 4GB in size. Otherwise XP would have given me the finger. There are no errors yet, so I'm hoping I'm doing it right. This is a lot of work to do this on the PC, but the experience is worth it. I shall post an update when I'm able to burn to DVD and it works.

If I had an external case for my DVD burner I could be doing this all at once in iDVD, or even in Roxio without all this extra effort. All Praise Apple.

Update: Yah! I rock! My DVD conversion hard work payed off. I'm pumped to watch my created DVD now.

June 12, 2005

I Feel Like Crap...

Yeah, my nasty little Aunt came to visit. How I hate her. My friend Pamprin should be kicking in sometime soon.

On another note... I got my Memorex Dual Layer 16x DVD-R burner installed. And I've burned a test data DVD. Came out just fine. I'm happy with it so far.

June 5, 2005

So, I went today and ordered myself a pair of VANS - Swirl's with birthday money I received from my Father and Grandparents. Yah! I can't wait to get them.

June 3, 2005

TGIF, Yah!

I dropped off my black and white Tri-X film for developing at the local camera shop. I should get them back in a week or so. Meh! I can't wait. I'm like all excited.

I've uploaded a picture to my Photoblog as a teaser for what's to come for public viewing. Hope you enjoy it. Better ones are coming soon. Probably this evening sometime. But first I must export and resize them, which won't take too long.

I had one of my Arturo Fuente Rothchild cigars last evening, and it was damn tasty with my scotch. Mmmm...

I'm craving pizza... Ugh!

Little Arrow woke me up hacking at around 4 a.m. The little guy coughed up a huge hair ball. I don't know why they call them hair balls when they look like stomach turds. Anyway, I turned on the bathroom light and he was snuggled against the wall in what I call the 'bunny' position (with his paws under him) - Just staring at the hair ball. When I turned on the light he kept looking at it, then looking at me. So, I picked it up and flushed it. Then gave him pets, and talked to him in a nice calm voice. He then trotted in and jumped up on the bed to lay with Mommy for a bit. I'm guessing this is his first or second hair ball since birth. He looked traumatized about it. But now he's ok. Going to have to get him some hair ball remover (goopy stuff) to mix with his food. That way he will hopefully poop it out instead of puking it up. I don't know anyone that likes to puke do you? <-- rhetorical question.

Birthday Gifts Arrived

Gifts from my friend Kim. One is the "Mythology: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross", and the other is "Wicked City" a really good anime. Yah! *hoogs* Thank you so much! :D

First Day Back

And I'm updated on my workload. At the moment I'm backing up my photographs taken, and I'm exporting them to an iPhoto album viewable online. Family and friends have access to this. I will be putting up non personal pictures to my photoblog shortly in a day or two. The videos will take a few days more to convert for web.

I finally fixed AA 2.4.. It just needed a clean install. Yah! I'l be playing this tonight if there is no clan gaming going on.

I'm Back

Ugh. Our ferry reservation turned out to be for the 11:15 a.m. boat and not the 8:15 a.m. boat. We had breakfast at Ernie's a little diner there. Then we drove back to the house and camped out till it was time to head down to the ferry again. We hit A SHIT LOAD of traffic on the way home. It was unreal. I'm damn tired.

May 31, 2005

Block Island, The 31st

Everyone is gone now. It's just us and Arrow our kitten. We have an 8:15 a.m. ferry off the island tomorrow (Wednesday the 1st). Today is just periodic cleaning, and packing up. We are planning on doing nothing but that, and work today. Tonight is packing up the car. We should be home in PA by 2 p.m.

I'm tired.

May 30, 2005

Block Island, The 30th

We launched my Rockets today with the kids. Wife-y recorded the launches for me. The kids were there, and I let them do the launches and recovery. I just readied them for launch. The "Heatseeker" fell apart in flight. It came down in two pieces. I was concerned about this putting it together. I knew I should've replaced the questionable part in the beginning. This particular Estes rocket comes with a basic material flaw. The shock cord. This rocket comes with an elastic shock cord. Not good for heat. It catches fire and burns. I'm going to replace this upon getting home with a rubber band. They are more resistant to heat. Proof of concept is the "Outlaw". It has a rubber band as a shock cord.

We had good launches with the "Outlaw". It's had five launches with light damage to the parachute so far. Not enough to effect it's flight down. Easily repairable. Estes rockets come with plastic parachutes, so they are cheap to replace if need be.

Oh, there was A LOT of wind. I had to angle it to a point where I was worried about it hitting another house. I moved it another five feet to my left. It worked. And drifted back onto the launch field. :D The kids enjoyed it, but I think I enjoyed it MORE.

Mom and Dad have left to the ferry to head back to N.Y. One of the children stayed with us. The older boy G. Everyone else headed to the beach for a bit. After that it's to Club Soda for snacks, video games, and drinks. Yah!

Our ferry is planned for Wednesday, but we might try to catch one of the Tuesday ferries. The Tuesday leaving is iffy.

May 29, 2005

Block Island, The 29th

Today we biked from home into town to Rebecca's. A nice little take out place. They have great tuna steak sandwiches, and great BBQ chicken sandwiches. After eating we biked over to Scotch Beach to meet the rest of the family. We hung out there for a quite a while. I let my little nephew do flips off my legs. *chuckles* He kept doing it till I was SO tired. Aunt Kayetie called for a Time Out. After hanging out for a bit we headed back home on the bikes stopping along the way to take pictures, and rest. Lots of hills here, and they can give your legs a nice burn. After dinner, a beer, a few glasses of wine, and ice cream - I'm ready for bed now. Play a bit with Arrow, and read till I fall asleep. It's raining now (lightning and thunder). I haven't been online for a while now. I'm kind of feeling like a junky wanting a fix.

Block Island, The 28th

We went to the beach today. It turned out to be a sunny day after all. We went out to dinner at the Oar, after that we came home. I had a couple of Mud Slides, and a huge chicken ceasar salad. Was quite yummy. I've taken so many pictures so far since being here. I can't wait to share them when getting home.

May 27, 2005

Block Island, The 27th

I woke up around 6 a.m. from a horrible nightmare about wife-y. Errr. It was bad. I rolled over to snuggle up with wife-y to feel some comfort after it. She wound up saying in her sleep (Her also dreaming of being terrorized by kitten in her sleep), "Stop shaking the bed! Get lost!" Arrow the kitten gave us a ruff night. More her though. Ugh. I just got up and grabbed my book and read on the floor for a bit with the kitten curled up in my lap.

Today turned out to be a sunny day after such horrid weather. I actually got a bit of sun burn on my face today when we walked up to the shore with the kids. It was quite enjoyable. I finished off my black and white roll of Tri-X film, so that is sitting in my bag for when I return to PA for developing.

Earlier in the evening a wonderful dinner was made by the family. After was the birthday cake. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, and I blew out the candles. With ice cream also. Gifts followed, and I had a wonderful evening.

There was a bit of rain, thunder, and lightning this evening. But it seems to have cleared.

May 26, 2005

Block Island, The 26th

The storm last night was hellish. The bedrooms upstairs swayed and vibrated in the 50 mile an hour gusts of wind. It was disturbing. I've been through hurricane Andrew, so this was a bit odd for me. It made me nervous. So, I read my book and listened to music on my iPod. I also watched a bit of the Sponge Bob Squarepants movie, then turned the light off and went to sleep. I'm glad that storm is over.

Today the family arrives after 7 p.m. Most likely 8 p.m. if they catch the 7 p.m. ferry. We went for a walk today up to the beach near the house off of S.W. Point. I took both cameras. Took my Canon A85 (with Telephoto lens) for any color automatic shots, and my OM2-n for any black and white film shots. I'm almost done with the Tri-X black and white roll. When I get back to PA I can send these out to get them developed. This will take a week though, so I will try to drop them off the following day after returning. It will be interested to see the black and white photographs. Supposedly the Tri-X has better contrast, but the automatic/color black and white has a deeper black. I can't wait to compare the photographs from each roll.

May 25, 2005

Block Island, The 25th

Woke up today to a gray rainy day with hellish wind. All ferries were cancelled. No one is going off or on island. It's that bad. We did some errands with Arrow, and he rode along fine. He slept most of the time, which was good. We came back and the maids arrived to clean the house a bit before family arrives tomorrow evening. Of course one of the cleaning ladies was all gooey over Arrow. He's such a stud. *LOL* They are gone now, and we are making dinner while the boy slumbers. He's had a big day, and we are tired as well. Black beans and rice is for dinner tonight. Mmm.. And Pie for dessert.

Block Island, The 24th

Today is cold and rainy. So, there are no rocket launches today. I'm feeling so tired. I can barely keep my eyes open. I need a nap. Maybe I'll take one after a bit. But first I must do work.

May 23, 2005

Block Island, The 23rd

Today was a good day. Went into town to pickup some Duko Cement glue for my rockets. I didn't feel the Super Glue would hold long term. Anyway, I now have two rockets built. The Astron Outlaw and the AGM-57X Heatseeker. So far the Outlaw has had two successful launches. I have pictures, and a video that will be up soon. The third rocket I have I am going to wait till I get home. It's more involved, and I want to get some good paints at the hobby shop in PA.

myrockets052305.jpg spentengines.jpg

Video to come when I get a chance to go to the island library.

Now I have pie!

My Birthday Today

I woke up and opened up my Birthday presents from C. and P. C, gave me a beginners Estes Rocket Kit. It came with the Astron Outlaw (Blasts 600 FT high - 183 m), and the Black Diamond (Blasts 1400 FT high - 427 m). P, gave me an AGM-57X Heatseeker Rocket, and a SHIT load of engines. It goes up to 800 FT (244 m). I'm going to take some pictures after building them to put up here. Thank You!!!! :D

I'm in the process of building the Astron Outlaw today, and will be finished today. It will be my first launch hopefully sometime this week. Yah!

I had some homemade baked potato soup a bit ago. And we are going out for drinks soon. While out we will order out from Eli's. I pretty good restaurant on the island. Mmmm... And bring it back here to munch down.

Saturday... The 21st

Woke up a bit late today. I was SO tired. Spent most of the day so far playing and interacting with Arrow. He seems to require it for now. Went a bit ago and picked up some extra items from the grocery store. For dessert... Blueberry pie, and a pumpkin pie for my Birthday tomorrow. Mmmmm... PIE!

I had a couple of bad DNS servers in my DNS setup, so this is fixed now. I can get anywhere now, although it's REALLY damn slow. While at the house I'll be on dialup. So, I won't be online for too long. Just long enough to check my email, and do my Admin work. Can't keep the phone line tied up. Oh, how I loathe being on a dialup modem. :( I'm hoping that we can pop into the Public Library for a bit sometime while here.

It's been overcast here on Block Island, and chilly.

May 20, 2005

We are on Block Island. Resting now. Really tired the both of us. About 12 hours in the car, and we arrived on BI around 6 p.m. We went out to Club Soda for a few beers, and a big salad. Now back at the parents resting upstairs with Arrow. He handled the car trip surprisingly well for a kitten at his age. He required one of us to hold him through the trip. Either in arms, or in his little kitty bed. He didn't like being alone in his carrier. While in arms he was quiet, and content. If he needed to use the litter box he informed us by scratching the bottom of his carrier when in there. Now, I'm off to bed. I just can't stay awake any longer.

For some reason I can not reach any other domains other than mine while here. Another puzzle we'll have to figure out tomorrow when clear headed.

May 19, 2005

Our New Kitten...

arrow051905-re.jpg So, this is Arrow. We just got back from the vet from his check up. And everything is A-OK. Yah! He's a little over 2 pounds. He was born 3/10/2005. And he's a chick magnet. :)

Early Birthday Celebration For Three...

Had an early Birthday celebration this evening. Dinner, which was yummy. And three early Birthday presents. And a wee cake. *chuckles* The presents were; A small bottle of 12 year old single malt scotch, 1 box of Arturo Fuente Rothchild cigars, and a 4GB iPod Mini (blue). *huge cheesey smile* Swank!

Thanks for the early Birthday celebration P. & C. !!!

Sunday And The Gremlins In My Head...

I feel completely exhausted, sensitive to light and sound. Lethargic after yesterday evening with a migraine. I still have a bit of a regular headache. More ghost pains I suppose. I couldn't sleep last night at all. I finally fell asleep in the wee hours of this morning. Didn't want to get out of bed AT ALL. But I laid there for a bit just staring off into space.

I'm just glad I finished my work for the day, although it did take me a bit longer to complete it.

May 14, 2005

Damn Migraine...

Right when I was going to relax and have a beer I come down with a migraine. Ugh. My head is still killing me, and my stomach is giving me the finger. I'm heading back to moping now, and to take some more pain reliever. If no one answers - leave a message at the beep. *looks cross eyed* Oy. *wanders off*

May 10, 2005

We Went Shopping For Kitten Supplies...

Holy Shit! We spent lots of money on toys, food, grooming supplies, and other added stuff. *laughing* I haven't had this much fun shopping in a long time. We pick him up from the breeder on the 17th of this month. He is a Seal Point Siamese. Yah!

May 7, 2005

Tonights Dinner...

We had yummy food for dinner with wine and champagne. Mmmm. The food was tasty. We then went out to pickup dessert. Ice cream, or ice crea' like Friendly's says it. *LOL*

April 25, 2005

Meh... Monday... :P

I had an ?Ok? day for a Monday. I met a few new people. One complimented me on my digital art, which was nice. I?m hoping a few will respond back further. One can never have enough friends. Played some chess for about an hour. Fun. Fun. But I was playing the computer. I?m sure it will be more fun to play another human. I have Chessmaster 9000 for OSX. My name is ?McSpazatron?. *lol*

Went Biking Today

bike1.jpg Went for a bike ride today. 8.4 miles. We biked up to this local place to grab a quick bite to eat. It was closed. So, we hop on the bikes and head over to WaWa and picked up a sandwich, and chocolate milk. Headed back over to the little cabanna where we ate our sandwiches. I?m tired and my legs are all spongey. I don?t feel much going up the stairs but coming down I almost fall. Came in and changed my t-shirt. I will shower in a bit. I?m sitting here listening to the new Garbage album ?Bleed Like Me?. I love it.

OurBikeRoute1.jpgHere is the route we took.

My Parents

Their divorce will be final on April 20th of 2005. Over 25 years of marriage down the tubes. How sad.

*throws Massive Attack's - Dissoved Girl on the jukey to listen to*

Back Home...

Ugh, what a long rainy day. Tired. I made some ham salad sandwiches after unloading the car. Was yummy. Now to get some work done. *sighs*

Edit: What the hell. I start up my PC, and the damn thing hangs on boot. This is the only operating system I know that does this after you safely shut it down. Piece of MS crap!

Edit2: I'm now reinstalling windows.

March 27, 2005

The adults were up at 8 am waiting on the kids for the egg hunt. The eggs were hidden by the Easter Bunnies all through the house, and outside. Yes, there were quite a few Easter Bunnies. *winks* I can't divulge the Easter Bunnies. Sorry. You 'vill not make me talk.

The kids are gone now, and it's just 'us' and the parents. We are tired. We were going to drive home, but then I noticed the time. It was getting late. The kids didn't leave till around 5 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. I always enjoy them. Great kids.

Now it's time to wind down with a beer. *sighs*

Easter Weekend

I am off to the Mall for a few Birthday gifts, then to N.Y for Easter. Hopefully I will be able to blog from there. I should, but I won't be on much. I'll be plenty distracted with family I suppose.

Happy Easter!

March 19, 2005

Chugging through my days work at the moment, but taking a break to write this.

I'm on the 'rag' and I?m feeling venomous, as I always do. I?m in pain, and mildly sedated with the Pamprin. Keeps from flipping out. I get irritated very easily. And I feel completely exhausted. Partly it?s due to the Pamprin. But then, I don?t think I?ve ever felt good at that time of the month. I?m the equivalent of a pissy cat right now. You know, ?I want to be hugged?, but then I flip out and spit at you a few seconds later for no rational reason. Miserable!

Oh, and I look exhausted.

We are scheduled to go out for dinner this evening. From around 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. A steak and seafood house was suggested. I'll try and remember to take my camera. To take pictures of the food.

What I Had For Dinner

What I had for dinner, and I still have leftovers. Mmmm... It will be a nice snack tomorrow sometime. :) I'm SO full. *hehe*

February 27, 2005

I talked to my Grandparents today. I wished my Grandfather a Happy Birthday. Today is his Birthday. Apparently Grandma is making him a homemade chocolate cake with pink icing. Yummy! Anything that my Grandmother makes homemade turns out wonderful. She's a baker, and I'm glad I get my joy of cooking from her. When I do cook that is. I haven't burned anything yet that I've made.

Grandma has been suffering off and on for about two years with bladder infections. She has a new doctor now, so hopefully this will be resolved soon. Grandpa has two disks in his back that are disintegrating. Not sure yet if they are going to plan surgery or other yet. He seems to be managing ok for his age.

I have another render that is still going. Not sure when it will complete. It's been doing it's thing for over five hours now. I will put it up when it's done. I wish I had a G5. It would be much faster if I did.

February 26, 2005

Today feels like such a lazy day. I'm sitting here deciding whether to run to the store or not, because what I want to run out for I really don't need. I'm waffling back and forth between designing and reading my book. I feel restless. I feel bored with my routine.

February 13, 2005

Horrible Nightmare This Morning

I awoke from a horrible nightmare this morning. The wifey touched me and I woke up at a key point in the dream where I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Not in a girly way, but screaming, "Leave me the fuck alone!" Apparently I was mumbling, and talking in my sleep before the scream.

This was one LONG dream.

It all started with the purchase of a new house for the two of us. It was small yet quaint. Perfect for two, and our cat. It had a warm feeling, but also this underlying feeling for me of 'we are not alone'. Strange things started happening. The piano was playing by itself. A concerto. I couldn't place it, but I've heard it before. I started feeling, and hearing other things. Then at some point I started to see 'them'. (A small boy, a cat (dark colored tabby with white paws), a woman (at least I think it was a woman), a man.) I witnessed the woman puking in our toilet (and heard it). A man came from the room across the hall (which fucking freaked me out) to her in the bathroom carrying a sheet. I move to watch their interaction. He wraps her in the sheet, and mutters some impatient profane words at her. Picking her up off of the floor in the sheet, slinging her over his shoulder, and walked back into the room across the hall from which he came. Dropping her, or rather tossing her onto the floor in the room. She screams. I start feeling enraged with the treatment of her by him. I screamed, "Why don't you pick on someone your own size fucker! How bout me?!" Next thing I know he comes at me like lightning in this wisp of black mist. I feel him grab the front of my shirt with both his hands. He throws me into the wall on the other side of the room. It knocks the wind out of me. I become more enraged (fuck him, the coward), and pick myself up off of the floor. I look around ready to fight. He's gone. I can no longer hear the crying of the woman.

The next interaction...

A boy, and his cat. I hear a child playing, talking. I go looking. I say, "Hello". I feel a nuzzle in my crotch kind of like a dog sniffing. I hear a cat meow. Annoyed meow. I say, "WTF". The cat appears like black mist, it fully forms to this dark tabby cat. I push it away. It seems feral and a bit ill tempered. I feel the boy whispering in my ear, not making much sense. At least I could make no sense of his ramblings. However, it?s making me feel icky, and that cold chill is running up my spine to the base of my neck. The cat disappears. I?m scratched. Fuck, that hurt. I?m bleeding through my jeans. The cat scratched me. I look around feeling paranoid. The wifey comes in. She had been out shopping. I explain everything that happened. She doesn?t believe me.

The dream skips?

I?m alone again, and I can clearly see the boy, his cat. The man is there. I feel his presence. He appears as a dark mist, and I hear his growling. The boy says to me while the cat is meowing in a nasty way, ?He?s come for you?. I turn my head back to ?the man?. Lightning quick again he attacks me. Kicking and beating the ever loving shit out of me. I?m screaming, ?Fuck you! Leave me alone!?

I?ve never felt so completely helpless or week in my life? I hope I never have this dream again. Next time I?ll remind myself in the dream, it?s just a dream.

February 8, 2005

Good grief! Just got the Saturn back from the shop from it's inspection. $350 bill. Ouch, 'the pockets' hurt. However, the car is quiet and humming like a dream.

Oh, if you are running Windows SP2 make sure you run autoupdate and patch. There are new updates out.

Back In Time?!

I'm waiting on incoming requests from 'clients' at this time. Yes, I'm subservient-kayetie. *laughs* Ted Nugent - Cat Scratch Fever is playing on my PC Winamp player. It's been a while since I've heard this CD. Boy, does it take me back to when I was a metal head in high school. *chuckles* With the long hair and concert t-shirts the parents would be disgusted with. Back when you thought nothing could bring you down. Except of course for the high school crush when you thought you'd just die.

Mmmmm... I need more coffee!

February 5, 2005

In A Neutral Mood

I received a Valentines Day card in the mail today from my good friend Pookzilla. It was quite a surprise given I'm not the type of girl that gets Valentines Day cards, and whatnot. *chuckles* It was a nice thing to receive, and it's greatly appreciated.

I'm currently working on another creation in photoshop. Another abstract. I might work on this more this evening over Remote Desktop. It's a bit chilly in the basement. Heat rises, so anything coming out of the vents is cold in the basement. Not that I'm complaining. I'm just stating. *lol*

I talked to my Mom today. She found a new job, seems to be doing just fine, and is happy with her new life. Though, she still feels lonely from time to time, but she's happy doing her own thing. It's the longest I think I've talked to her in a while. 52 minutes, and 49 seconds. I enjoyed the talk.

Update 9:53pm: I didn't work on my abstract over Remote Desktop due to latency issues, but I did create something new. Anyway, I'm sitting drinking red wine, and surfing the net for a bit. Oh, hum.

January 28, 2005

Wifey's B-Day...

Today is wifey's b-day... I took her to her favorite Japanese restaurant for lunch. A bit pricey, but the food presentation is five stars. The food is GREAT. We were suppose to go to a movie also, but my plans got screwed up with a business call. Oof! So, the movie will have to wait till Monday. However, we are having dinner shortly, and dessert is going to be a wonderful Triple Moose Torte with "Happy Birthday C" on it. *chuckles* Personally, I can't wait for the dessert. But before dessert we have to sing the lame Birthday song. *hehe*

Update: Well, the cake pretty much melted from the cooking from the stove this eveing. And I'm still teary eyed from it. I'm sad that the cake melted. *sobs* Whenever I look at it I get all teary eyed. Oy! At least it tasted good. *sobs more* God damnit! My B-day Plans for wifey were ruined. The only thing that will make me sane is sleep. I'm tired. *sighs*

Update2: It was one calamity after another, but Wifey said she had a wonderful time. She appreciated my effort put forth.

January 27, 2005

I Have Coulrophobia

Yes, I have Coulrophobia. Coulrophobia refers to an abnormal and persistent fear of clowns. I had no idea though that it was a valid phobia. I feel so icky. And it's not even REMOTELY funny.

January 26, 2005

I Feel Like A Wounded Animal

Oy! My shoulders and neck are killing me. They started hurting really bad late last night before going to bed. Today the pain is not as bad, but it still makes me whimper. It's bad enough that I can't tell if it's muscular or skeletal. BUT... I do think it might be muscular, and stress.

Update: Well, my shoulder and neck are a bit better now. I really think I irritated it lifting a large jug of kerosine down the stairs to the basement. I swung it into place like an a**. Guess that will teach me to be more careful.

January 16, 2005

Sinus Troubles

My sinuses are acting up today. I took some antihistamine, and it's helping. It's wiping me out though. I hate feeling this confused, and tired.

January 12, 2005

Bad Dreams, And Ass Dragging

I had bad dreams that I woke up from three times. All three different. I laid in bed staring into space before wifey coaxed me out of bed. I would have preferred to just stay in bed, and read. *LOL* Ehhh, who wouldn't? Blah. Working, working now, and rendering some Terragen environments. I have to write my Father an email after I get this work done, and phone Mom for her Birthday today. See how things are going for her.

January 9, 2005

Brother Called...

Concerning the parents. I'm really bummed out now. I thought I was going to have a decent Sunday. Oh well.

Apathy... Apathy... Where art thou?

January 6, 2005

My Skin Crawls Today

Feeling icky in my own skin today. *shivers* I just don't feel comfortable at all. *Grrrr* I'm feeling a bit nutty.

Listening to "Seether - Broken".

On another note... I am now up to 8 stars on Mario 64 DS. I went today and purchased a DS protective case for it and my games. Now it's free from dust, and somewhat protected from droppage.

Also, C. purchased my Sennheiser headphones for me. They are sweet. I opted for the Sennheiser HD 212pro model instead.

January 5, 2005

Weather From "Suck" Again

Another rainy gloomy day. I am so tired of this weather. Where is the sun? And why hasn't it snowed significantly here yet? Oy.

On another note... My hips have been aching for the past couple of days. Not sure why, but most likely it's the way I'm sleeping. I took two Aleve today to see if it would help. It's helping, kind of.

I have to call my Step Dad today to see how he's doing, and if my Brother came by yet. Hopefully my Brother left some sort of contact information, but I doubt it.

I'm thinking about putting on my rain jacket, and putting my camera in it's waterproof case to take a walk in the rain. Of course I don't have any waterproof pants, but I do have a rain jacket. I'm going to get partially wet. Let's hope I don't wind up getting sick, if I do this. I mean, it is chilly outside.

Reminder To Self:

I need to add snow pants, and waterproof pants to my outdoor gear.

January 4, 2005

Winter Here...

The winter here is sucking so far. No snow. Just rain. It's been gloomy outside. Sometimes this part of Pennsylvania is like the Twilight Zone. It could be snowing everywhere around us, but not here. It sucks.

Tonight we rented "Troy" to watch from BlockBuster Video. That won't be till around 9 PM or so though. Will be surfing and listening to music till then, or playing DS.

We had black beans and rice for dinner with fresh onion, tomato, and shredded low fat cheese. Yummy it was.

I'm feeling restless...

January 3, 2005

It's Monday the fun day. *lol* I've finished my Administration work for the day, and I'm just waiting on incoming requests for account updates.

What I really want to do is take a walk with my camera and lenses. The sun hasn't been out all that much. No mist, no fog, no nothing that would make any photographs worthy of taking. It's sad.

My feeling that there was going to be a family melt down was right on the ball. Figures.

Ugh... Maybe I'll read for a bit. *shrugs*

Doing laundry like a good little love slave too.

Maybe I'll just go for a walk.

Update: Sent Mom an email, and talked to Step Dad on the phone. *just shakes my head* I'm having a beer and a Sancho Panza cigar.

January 1, 2005

Went to a dinner party at P's family's house. It was a lovely dinner, and for dessert we had yummy homemade chocolate chip & surgar cookies. A fun time was had by all.

Ringing In The New Year

I had a nice turkey dinner in the early evening. Then around 9:30 pm or so started whipping up some snacks to eat while waiting for that ball to drop. Finished off a bottle of red wine, and a bottle of champagne. By 1 am the room started spinning. Stayed up close to 3 am in the morning waiting for the effects of the 'drink' to wear off a bit.

Did I make any New Years resolutions. Umm. Just one. Never to make any further New Years resolutions again. They are pointless.

Oh, and I had stupid frustrating dreams to boot.

December 31, 2004

Well, we went out to do some errands. Pick up food for this evenings dinner, get some champagne, and run by Sears. With our gift cards... I wound up getting a bag to hold all of my camera accessories. And picked up a second copy of Mario 64 DS, so we could both play it at the same time. And wifey purchased a DS racing game.

*just chuckles*

December 30, 2004

Ugh, What a day. I woke up with this headache that won't go away, but it's not as bad if I keep taking some sort of pain killer. I also seem to be overly sensitive to light. I did tons of work today already, and I think I'm done for the day. Unless some emergency thing pops up. Maybe I'll do a little shopping at Sears online. I have a gift card I want to use. I need an SLR bag for my camera accessories. See what else I can get there. What to do after that...

Update: I'm just going to have to go to the mall here into Sears. Their online site is shite. That will have to be another day when I'm depressed and need something to lift me up. *chuckles*

December 26, 2004

Back From NY

Back home now. Tired.

December 25, 2004

Christmas Day

First off... Merry Christmas to everyone.
This Christmas day we woke up and opened presents around 8 AM with buckets O'coffee. After that the wifey and I had breakfast, then showered for the arriving company for Christmas dinner. We had Christmas goose, turkey, stuffing, green beans, cole slaw, salad, spinach, brown gravy, with red wine. We (the wifey and I) sat at the kid's round table with their Mother, and Aunt J. It was the BEST table to eat at *nods*.

What I received for Christmas:

From A GREAT Friend:
A t-shirt ... Bunny t-shirt that says, "Hi Loser!"

*just laughs* I love it.

And two books... "No Mercy - By Pat Califia" and "Warewolves In Their Youth - By Michael Chabon"

From Family:
Telephoto Lens for my Canon A85
Underwater Case(up to 130 ft.) for my Canon A85
Adaptor Lens for my Canon A85
Wide Angle Lens for my Canon A85
Button Up Polo Shirt (blue)
Polo Crewneck Sweater (light blue)
Brooks Brother's dress pants
12 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey (with two whiskey glasses)
Gift Card
A Scarf
Brooklyn Industries zip up hoodie (Brown with yellow lettering)

Note to family and friends: Thank you for the WONDERFUL gifts! :D

December 24, 2004

Christmas Eve

Well, It's Christmas Eve. Dinner is going to be around 7 PM or so. I'm hanging out with the guys at the moment, and drinking a beer. Talking of politics and B.S. Always fun. *hehe* And taking lots of pictures and video. It's what I like to do. *shrugs* Back to socializing.

December 23, 2004

We Arrive in Amawalk, NY

We are here in Amawalk, NY at the parents. However, our trip was eventful. Not only did we have traffic, but periodic torrential rain. After making a wrong turn we wound up at a toll booth, and wind up getting hit in the ass by some jerk off woman in a HUGE SUV. Hahhh! Merry Christmas to US! We get turned back around, and get headed back in the right direction. We arrive ALIVE, but tired.

On Our Way...

We will be on our way shortly for the trip to NY. 1 PM is the scheduled time of departure. I really don't think we are going to be able to get the three of us in the car with a SHIT load of packages. To me upon visual inspection it's going to be tight, or it's going to be two cars.

December 19, 2004

Last Nights Dinner

We had a little pre-dinner snack, which were stuffed mushrooms and crackers (with salami, hot mustard, cheese, and onion). That was quite yummy with red whine. *nods* We then had dinner (main course) shortly after that. Flank steak with asparagus and baked potato. After dinner we moved back to the living room where we enjoyed the fireplace and Christmas Tree, along with a couple of games of Jenga. Oh, and we had cherry pie & blueberry pie for dessert.

December 18, 2004

I had such a shitty nights sleep. I tossed and turned, then finally fell asleep around 2 AM. I woke up at 4:30 AM, and just could not go back to sleep. Went out to the fridge to get some water. Thirsty. After that I went back to bed and tossed and turned. I wound up sleeping for another few hours. I'm feeling really beat though.

December 15, 2004

Another Horrible Nights Sleep

No sleep for the wicked, I guess. *sighs*

I'm still reinstalling windows & patches, and installing other applications. Like my graphics apps and games. What I use my PC for anyway. Heading out in a bit to do more errands.

December 14, 2004

Hectic Day

After a frustrating night and morning of senseless dreaming I woke up, showered, then went out to get a few errands done. I've wrapped Christmas presents like a good little slave with Christmas music playing in the background. Now to find a box big enough to ship my family in. Hmmm.. After that it's out to get the tree.

On a side note, I feel exhausted and tired. As if the life has been sucked out of me. I've been saying to myself off and on all throughout the day, "Why did I even bother getting out of bed?!"

December 10, 2004

Surreal & Ominous

A dream I had this morning... It had the overall feeling that something really bad was going to happen, and of photography. In the dream I remember running outside with my camera to look at the sky. It was beautiful. Standing near a balcony, In one part of the sky there were nebula like clouds that had these beautiful colors. Above me was this huge swirling cloud formation that kept building. I kept snapping pictures and it felt as if my camera had unlimited space on it?s card. This feeling of dread kept building throughout the dream ?till I awoke at some point.

November 25, 2004

Well dinner turned out well. My brother showed up. A nice thing. He seems to be moving to Kentucky with his wife and he is quite hectic running back and forth between Ohio and Kentucky to get stuff situated. He showed me his new tattoo. It's of a wolf ghosted by clouds. Its black and looks very cool. Everyone is gone now except for my little niece (my brother's daughter). She's so cute. *sighs*

Downloading some pictures and loafing like Garfield.

November 20, 2004

The Afternoon

I didn't wake up late. I just got out of bed late. I think I laid there for a few hours dreading getting up. Took my shower and I'm now drinking a cup of coffee. Finished what Admin work I had for the day. Have to run out in a bit to get some things for dinner tonight. Saturday has been dedicated to the "Threes Company" for at the table dinner, discussion, and dessert. This social event last till ruffly 9:30 pm. Sometimes longer.

The wife said something odd to me before I got out of bed, and after she climbed back in bed with me. "What's wrong with you, sweety?" ... "Am I neglecting you?" ... I give no response. It was enough for me to deal with the fact I was dreading getting out of bed.

Update: I'm running a system back of my iBook. It's been months since I've done it. Also... Mmmmm.. I have good beer... Stella!!!

Frustrating Dream

I had this frustrating dream where people kept coming through my apartment while I was showering. (Through my bathroom, through the door leading to the next apartment.) Instead of just walking down the hall further and going through their front door. And they always seemed to come through when I was in the middle of taking a shower. I then removed the door and filled it in with drywall. I went out for groceries, and checked it upon returning. The wall had been torn down. At that point I woke up, because I was SO PISSED.

Update: And of course it NEVER occurred to me to just bolt the front door.

November 14, 2004

I had a horrible nights sleep. Fuzzy frustrating dreaming. Last time I looked at the clock it was 4 am again. Up and down all night long, and woke up with my head splitting in two. Took some meds, and did something else to help me relax a bit. Helped a little. *sighs*

I wrote my Father an email asking what his plans are for Thanksgiving. I haven't heard from him in a while either. He is where I get my sense of humor from. *chuckles* Let's just say it's a dry humor, but we do have our periods of stomach cramping laughter. My Father is a good man. All things considered. Not prone to losing his temper or 'flying off the handle' in a rage. We both hate yelling matches. Especially when everything can be solved without the yelling.

I have to run out in a bit to get the wife new running shoes. The ones she has are really long over due to be replaced. I want to keep her feet in relatively good shape.

November 12, 2004

Yah! It's Friday!

Not that, that is anything good at all for me. I work seven days a week. Just more likely to be a slacker on the weekends. At least I want to be. Listening to NPR news and drinking coffee at the moment.

My friend w5nsa emailed this morning with pictures. He gave me a hug and said he misses me, and that I should make time for him before he goes away to Poland. *chuckles*

Dream Lovers

I woke up this AM having an orgasm, which is always completely surprising. These sex dreams are unbelievably real for me. This one in particular was with a man. He had really nice brown skin. It was something that I really noticed in the dream.

After waking up from these dreams I am just so incredibly sensitive. Like I've just finished having sex. I'm assuming this is the same as having a dream lover. For me it's more like dream lovers. The only times I've had sex with the same dream lover was with my wife. She is the only repetitive dream lover I have.

November 6, 2004

My Sexual Preference

I had a less than interesting (very frustrating) conversation with a 29 year old guy from Lebanon today. Wanting to convert me back to heterosexualism. I've been there and done that. I'm completely over it. Really. Seriously. There are no arguements for this that will make me change my mind. There are no winning arguments for this. Period.

November 4, 2004

I have to sit down with wifey sometime soon and decide what week we will take to visit the parents for Thanksgiving. Ugh! I don't want to think about it. Man... 500 miles to get there and 500 miles to get back home to Pennsylvania. I feel as if my life this year has been lived mostly on the road. The positive is more Photography in a different location. I don't have a lot of scenic pictures of Ohio. Any'who.

UPDATE: We are heading up from the 23rd to the 29th of November.

November 2, 2004

I voted.. I did my duty...

UPDATE: I think I'm going to vomit. Another four years of Bush. We are fucking doomed.

Back From BI

We got back earlier today and it was quite a long day. I'm tired. I have lots of work, and lots of photos to go through. I've done a little of both and the rest will wait till tomorrow. While at BI I believe we walked over 8 miles taking pictures. I had one incident though with a pricker bush. It embedded into my jacket, which was tied around my waist, and the back of my leg. Let's just say it took me quite a bit with no help to get it loose from me and my jacket. We had fun at the Halloween Party on the evening of the 30th at the local watering hole there. I didn't have a costume, so I was a familiar (dressed as a human). A fun time was had by all.

Brought home some homemade apple pie. We picked it up this morning with coffee before heading to the boat. I have to admit the boat ride coming off island was better than coming to island. Today it was so windy and chilly when we left. I took a little short video leaving port. You can actually see how difficult it was for me to stand top deck and take the video with the amount of wind.

October 30, 2004

Saturday BI

I'm suppose to go to this costume party tonight at 9 pm here. I don't really want to go. Besides I don't have a costume. So, if asked why I'm not wearing one, I will be The "Island Lesbian". *shrugs* Oh well. It's cold and rainy. It's been that way ALL day. I've done minimal work. I miss my online friends (HEX & w5nsa). Tomorrow is the last day, and I hope it's not rainy.

October 26, 2004

BI pic...

This was a pic to the left (port) side of the boat. So far it's been ok.

October 25, 2004

On Block Island

On really slow dialup... Oof!

Finally here but I'm dead tired. *crawling on all fours then falling flat* We got here around 12 pm, or so. Unpacked the car. Then I made some quick spaghetti for a meal. Was so hungry. I'm now having a beer to calm the nerves, and to relax a bit. I can barely keep my eyes open. We still have to go out grocery shopping, and to have a drink at the local bar. I feel like I could curl up into a ball and just die.

October 24, 2004

Pretty Much Packed

I'm all packed, I think. The only thing left to add is a baseball hat, and my winter hat. Oh, and my LLBean hiking jacket (moderately heavy and insulated) and my Padagonia shell (light jacket). Just cause I'm not sure how warm or cold it's going to get there this time of year. Both are water proof, which will keep me dry for the most part. And I think that's it.

We have a reservation for the 11am boat at Point Judith. However, we are going to try to make standby at an earlier time. The reservation is for just incase we can't get on the earlier boat.

October 22, 2004

Block Island

I have been told that we are leaving on Sunday. I think we will be gone for a week or so. We should be back in time enough to vote on Tuesday. I've updated clamXav for the trip. And I am now backing up my iPhoto Library to CD. That way I can wipe it, and start fresh for the trip. This is going to take several hours. I have a lot of photos on my iBook. While doing that I have to do a bit a laundry also.

UPDATE: As for Block Island we were tentatively leaving Sunday at 5pm, but it has now (I think) been switched to Monday. Wifey says it will stress her less that way. Less stress for her is less stress for me.

October 21, 2004

Lost in Thought

Feeling: Distracted... Enamored... Bemused... Immersed...

Wifey wants to go to BI this month. I'm fine with going. I'm just tired of travelling. We've done a lot of it so far this year. We still have more to do besides this trip she wants to take to BI. The nice thing is BI will be just the two of us. It will be windy and cold as usual this time of year. We still have Thanksgiving in Ohio, and Christmas in NY. Driving both. Thinking about it makes me tired.

Thinking Back To High School

*listening to Tesla - Great Radio Controversy... thinking back* I use to be such a metal head in high school. Oof! Always getting called into the councellors office for some reason or other. I had issues. But then, so does every teenager. So self indulged. Oye! I had crushes on almost all of my female teachers. And I had this horrible crush on a friend of mine that I had in my senior year. Sybel?! (not sure I spelled her name right) She is listed on for my year of graduation. Man, she rocked my world then. She was the nicest person. Friendly. A great personality. The guys loved her. Well, at least the guys that were in the metal head group then.

Damnit! I burnt my wrist... Crap!!! Owey!

*runs around in circles*

October 17, 2004

(listening to Tori Amos while typing this) Yes, I have a pretty good collection. I like her music. I'm missing only a few CDs. Favorite songs are, but not limited to... "Hey Jupiter"... "Caught A Light Sneeze"... "1000 Oceans"... "Spark"... "Cruel"... "Precious Things"... "Black Dove"... "Iieee"... "Liquid Diamonds"... "Northern Lad"... "Playboy Mommy"... "A Sorta Fairytale"... "Bliss"... "Lust"... "Suede"... "Josephine"... ""Riot Proof"... "Cooling"... "Cornflake girl"... I think I'd like to see her in concert sometime.

Woke up late. Took a shower, and such. I had a piece of carrot cake with my coffee today. Yummy! Did a little work. Watched the recording of Crossfire with John Stewart, which was damn entertaining. Read my Sunday comics. Emailed a few online friends. Emailed my Father. He seems to be preoccupied with golf and bowling at the moment. I got the complete season 1 of "Invader Zim". Funny stuff. No word from "HEX" yet. I hope everything is going well. The wife-y is still running. I'm thinking she is running around the eastern coast of America right now. Might be at the Jersey Shore right now. She averages about 25 miles a week. Run Forrest, Run!

October 16, 2004

Another Weird Dream...

All through this dream I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was dying from some terminal form of cancer.

I went to the doctor, and they did tests. They sent me to X-Ray, and wound up not being able to do it due to the X-Ray tech needed to do something more important. She told me to go home, and they would call me back in. I gave her my beeper number even though I don't have a beeper active. Anyway... They never called. They never beeped me. I call back a day later. They don't remember me, and neither does the doctor. No record of me being there.

October 13, 2004

Strange Dreams

I had strange dreams all night long after the day I had yesterday. One that I remember was about two girls chasing one another, and the other ran toward a pool. She laughs, screams, then teleports into the wall of the pool. Spent most of the time trying to talk her 'down' enough to get her out of the wall.

WTF is this about?!

October 11, 2004

What a day...

Got up a little late. Did my work for the day. Went on a four mile walk with wifey, and took lots of pictures. 101 of them. I should have a few up on the photoblog within a day or two. I need to look through them first. Had a personal pizza for dinner with a beer. Yum!

October 1, 2004

I watched the debate last night between Kerry and Bush. I have a DivX avi of it, which is about 300MB or so. It can be downloaded from me off of eDonkey. Search for "2004vote". I am missing the first 15 minutes of it though. *shrugs*

Kerry kept his cool, but Bush seemed uneasy. Fidgety even. Like he was taking personally everything Kerry would say. I was waiting for him to draw his six guns on Kerry. Kind of like an old black and white western cartoon.

Had a pretty hectic day so far...

I'm going to take a long walk later on today with my camera, and shoot some photos. Hopefully I will have some great pictures to share later on.

I need to get started on a new cover page for my work site this month. And I need to update my 2D & 3D art gallery there with some newer stuff I have on disk.

Also, I have to update I'm still not sure where I want to take this site, or that I'm even happy with it's formatting. I might just do away with the news section all together.

September 27, 2004

Migraine... Yes, another one. Woke up with it this morning. PAIN! That makes three this month. This is not normal... *sighs*

I'm now officially under weight. Understandable, since I have a lack of appetite from my meds and nausea to boot. I'm having difficulty keeping any food down.

In other more interesting news, I am getting my new camera today. The Canon PowerShot A85. I'm really looking forward to it. I will post some pics, and maybe a movie from it when I get it. BTW, the FEDEX delivery woman that comes to our door to make deliveries now, is a little hotty. Makes getting any packages quite a thrill. *hehe*

September 26, 2004

I have the Monday 'blahs'. You know, you usually get it on Sunday dreading going back to work on Monday. *sighs* Even though I work seven days a week.

I got sick to my stomach today from my antibiotic. Wasn't good. I hate getting sick to my stomach. I always get nauseated from oral antibiotics. Maybe I just have a week stomach. *shrugs*

Anyway, today's Snoopy was quite charming. I just love Snoopy. He's my kind of 'boy'. *smiles*

September 25, 2004

Saturday... Feeling Lazy

Just moping around listening to Ani Difranco's album "To The Teeth". I have to say my favorite song off this album is "Soft Shoulder". It gives me goosebumps. I find that I can listen to it over, and over again.

Continue reading "Saturday... Feeling Lazy" »

September 24, 2004

Woohoo! Not that it's good seing as I work 7 days a week. *LOL* Anyway, I'm feeling a little better today. Maybe I'm just getting use to the meds. Went out for a Starbucks Caramel Machiato. Mmmm... Yummy! Stopped and picked up some milk (1%). Got to have MILK! Milk does the body good. OK. Enough milk slogans.

Now it's time to run upstairs and find something to eat. Stomach growling like a lion, and all.

September 23, 2004

I'm feeling so sick today from my meds. OMG! Why do they have to be so strong? I was up and down all night long. (Fell asleep, then woke up.) I kept my wifey up most of this morning with it. Although, she didn't mind too much. She knows it's the meds. screwing with me. Christ in a hand basket! I actually felt better before I started taking meds. WTF?

Me thinks I need a swear jar?

NOTE: There is an update to the entry.

OH, BTW, I am only keeping three entries open at a time from now on.

September 19, 2004

Did my Admin work for the day... Now I'm reading the Sunday comics, and sipping coffee. Debating a game maybe. Listening to some Radioslave.

September 16, 2004

Long Day

Went to visit an old friend in Mt. Airy, Pennsylvania today. Hadn't seen her in months, and it was nice to see her and chat for a while.

I updated my ABIT IS7 bios yesterday. Backed it up, then flashed it with the new one. Everything seems to be ok, but booting is a bit slower. Oh well.

Windows Movie Maker is acting hoaky. I can't even create a new project. And for some reason I get an error saving my movie to a .wmv file. With no reason as to why I am getting the error. "An error occured. Please try again." *shrugs* What the hell does this mean? Guess this will have to wait till I update to SP2 to fix, hopefully. Hmmm... Will check P2P for it...

Listening to my iPod... Neil Young...

Drinking a Amstel Light... Mmmmm...

Still feel like crap....

September 15, 2004

Bad migraine today... That's two this month... And I'm feeling bad like I'm fighting something. If I still feel this bad on Monday I will be seeing the DR then. *sighs*

September 13, 2004

The rest of the nonpersonal pictures are up for Block Island September 2004.

Having a slow Monday, which is very weird. Usually my Mondays are jam packed with work. Happy for it though in a way.

I'm rendering 3D, and animations. While waiting on that I am listening to music, and reading. Still feeling like crap.

September 12, 2004

Back Home Again

Thank God! *sighs* Way too much travel for me. The Birthday party went well, and Mom loves her new iPod. We went to our friends art gallery showing, and it was very nice. The trip went well, but I'm so sick and tired of travelling.

On another note, I am sick. I'm not sure what is wrong with me. Since coming back from BI I've been feeling REALLY run down and tired. I have this weird constant headache that I think is sinus related... My sinuses are actiing up, but I'm not stuffy or congested. Ugh... I'm hoping that after a few days this will pass.

September 10, 2004

More Travel Ahead

Ugh! As soon as we get back we have to travel again. This time we are driving to Upstate N.Y. for my Mother in-law's Birthday. We are going to setup her new iPod for her. Also, while there, on Sunday we will be going to a friend of my 'wife's' art gallery that is showing her art at 2pm. Hopefully we will come home after that, if we don't stay too late. I have a feeling we are going to be stuck there till Monday.

I am so tired of travelling...

There are some pictures up that I took at BI on MyPhotoblog link above. Be sure to check them out. Also, there are more to put up, but will do that when I get back from this trip.

September 9, 2004

Back Home

That was some trip... Just got back home, and I am dead tired. Hung out at Club Soda last night to say bye to some Island friends, which was fun. Had some snacks. Onion rings and a rack of babyback ribs. Mmmmm... Junk food! It was a wonderful vacation week, and would love to do it again. Now to catch up on some backed up work. *rolls eyes* Yuck! Anyway, I should have some pictures up soon to look at. For now here is a sample picture in a popup link.

BI 9/7

Woke up around 9am today, and had some coffee, then went online and did my Admin work. Yesterday we said goodbye to some family, and it's pretty quiet now. Only us three, and three other family members. Anyway, yesterday we went to the beach. Came home and showered and went out for drinks at Club Soda. Had pizza at the bar. Today is partly cloudy, so we might go biking. Maybe do some shopping in town. We have to pick up a few supplies, and hit the book store.

September 5, 2004

Getting ready for the beach around 1pm, then after the whole family is going to go to Club Soda for snacks and drinks. After that we will come home for some homemade chilli. Yummm!

September 4, 2004

BI 9/4

Didn't blog yesterday at all. As a matter of fact, I didn't go on the net AT ALL. It felt good not to have to go on the net. I took the day off. Went to the beach... Hung out with family... Read my book... Drank some beer... Went out to eat... Took more pictures... Overall I had a wonderful time.

September 2, 2004

BI 9/2

I'm here after a long drive to Port Judith. And I'm in the Island FREE library on their wireless network. I got absolutely NO sleep the night before, and haven't even napped yet. I can't. If I do I will fall sleep till tomorrow, or I will wake up and NOT be able to fall back asleep. I took some pictures of the ride up, but I'm not sure if they came out good. As soon as I look at those I will know. I'm SO tired.

September 1, 2004

Block Island

Block Island - Be sure to check out my Photoblog link for more BI pictures.

Made some homemade blueberry pancakes this morning. They came out good.

Now I'm getting packed up, and running errands to take care of some things before we leave. Remembering laptop, books, iPod, camera, cell phone, oh and clothes *laughs*.

August 31, 2004

What type of personality do you have?

You're a natural born trouble-maker. You hate
authority and do everything you can to get
around the law, or in some cases, break it.
Naturally stubborn, you hardly ever sway once a
decision is made. Your nature is fiery and
courageous, and always out-going. You love
attention and usually have kinky fetishes
you're not afraid to explore. People either
love you or hate you.

What Type of Soul Do You Have ?
brought to you by Quizilla

Hmmm.. Not sure if this is TOTALLY accurate. *chuckles* I don't think I am a born trouble maker. I don't try to 'get around' the law, or break it. But the rest is pretty true. Beautiful brunette in the picture though... reeow...

August 27, 2004

Got a frigging migraine today. Still have it partially. I feel like crap. I'm sensitive to light and noise right now. Makes it a bit hard to read my screen. Ugh...

August 26, 2004

Thursday the 26th

At the parents, and slept a little late today. Till 10:30am. Got up had coffee with an english muffin with butter and jelly (100% fruit). Didn't get to blog yesterday at all. I was having weird DNS issues here in Somers, NY. I couldn't load any web pages. Turned out I just needed to reboot, which I usally don't need to do. My iBook has been acting a bit odd since I updated to 10.3.5, and applied the latest security patch.

I'm having a Pete's Wicked Ale right now while typing this. Yummy!

My Mom sent me an email today. Her Aunt's son died yesterday. Coronary while sitting in his bedroom chair. They are going to the viewing and funeral in Cincinnati, OH for the next few days. This was sad to hear.

All in all, a less than normal day so far.

Thank you for pointing out the booboo _0x_!

August 22, 2004

XP Machine

Well, my pc will be down for a day or two while I update to a 120GB hard drive. So, I will be on my laptop mainly for the next few days. Hopefully my XP machine will only be down for 1 day. *crosses fingers*

August 20, 2004

ok day

I had an "ok" day today. Did a little graphic work for a friend, and my other Admin stuff. Ran some errands. I bought a pair of Converse All-Stars. *LOL* The hightop white ones. Not the optical white. They didn't have my size in stock at the mall, so I had to order them. Free shipping if you do it in store, and have it delivered to your home. Of course the wait is 2 to 5 days, which is torture. I can't believe they are $40 now when I use to buy them for $30, but that was years ago.

Ahhh... off to smoke a CAO L'Anniv. Cameroon - Rothchild cigar. Mmmmm... smooth and tasty.

August 19, 2004

Feeling Run Down

Blah! Feel like crap today. My ass has been dragging. I kind of feel burnt out. Went to the mall to pick up some things, and got a quick snack. Got some Manga. This is the most unproductive day I've had the whole week.

August 18, 2004

Wednesday Shmendsday

Well, I submitted the RedEye Radiation graphic from yesterday to my page at, and submitted it to my page. I have to say in an environment where there are less artists I take more shit for my work. Meaning I take more shit at my spymac submissions than anywhere else on the net. Whatever happened to giving constructive criticisms?

Hmmm... Anyway, it's all just someone's opinion right?!

And I realize that people just SUCK.

August 14, 2004

Well, got up had a Starbucks triple venti caramel machiato. Went by the store and got a merlot for dinner, which was wonderful as usual. Rendered some 3D terrains, and a planet. I will put those up tomorrow.

I'm a bit buzzed on merlot and scotch wiskey. Woohoo! A good evening don't you think?! Ahhh whetever. Don't answer that. HEHE... Anway, I watched most of the Olympics today on TV while working and being creative.

I woke up a bit cranky, but just because I was tired and run down. Long day, and long night before. I guess it will be another long evening tonight. Oh well.

August 8, 2004

The Franklin Institute

Well, we got up relatively early and went to The Franklin Institute today. We went to the Planetarium & the IMAX theatre. I have to say it was quite enjoyable. Even though there were quite a few things that didn't exactly work right. I will have some pictures up shortly today sometime on my photoblog.

August 7, 2004

5 Mile Bike Ride

My honey and I went on a 5 mile bike ride today. I have to say it was quite enjoyable. Although both my tires were low on air, so I had to do some pumping first. Now to get ready for dinner.

August 2, 2004

I met a new friend...

I met a new friend on IRC today. Her nickname is "_0x_", and she is six feet tall. An amazon. Due to her height she has issues dating and meeting women. Personally, I just think they are intimidated by her height. She likes cats, has tattoos, and is a really nice person. She has a weblog, and I don't remember the exact URL for that right at this moment.

At this time, I am in the middle of another 3D render. I have two more graphics ready to display, but will do that tomorrow. There might be three depending on how the render comes out.

May 30, 2004

Sunday Blues

Sundays are so completely boring for me. Sundays feel like the longest day of the week. The day before Monday the start of the work week. Blah!

I played some Call of Dutiy single player for a bit, but it didn't satisfy me. Not sure what I want to do really. I've been sipping on a beer. I think I will go watch the boob tube in a bit. Maybe some G4/TechTV.

I noticed that quite a lot of people read my blog here, but no one comments on a regular basis. Or at all. Everyone seems to karma vote. Are "we" afraid to comment? (chuckles) Don't be. I'm actualy quite a friendly & a nice person. I don't think I've ever really recieved any hate mail to date. Not that my blog would deserve any. I don't think.

Since the FTC adoption of the new rule for CANSPAM marking porno email I have only received one email that actually had "SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT:" in the subject line. I have to say that most of the spam I receive is in my Comcast mail accounts. It's pitiful. The spam reporting doesn't work that well. It seems the more I report... I get double in return. I have no idea how I ended up on these lists either. I only use the Comcast email for friends and family. The one thing I have noticed is that whenever I go to and login to my account, connects to me. Within minutes I have adware on my PC machine. I have to run SpybotS&D everytime I go there. So, I don't go to anymore.

Oh... And I added the Photoshop picture below to my page at in the Scrapbook section.

April 30, 2004

Feeling Volatile

A bit annoyed after today. MAC Outfitters called to say my iBook could be picked up. MAC Outfitters got it back from Apple with the speakers replaced, but the logic board, which is under recall, was NOT replaced by Apple. Now... I kind of understand not replacing the logic board, since the logic board issues are related to video problems. And I'm not currently having any video problems at this time. Fine. BUT... God damnit! They did not do a damn thing about the burner failing to burn at it's rated capacity (16x). I don't know about you, but when I purchase an item due to certain specifications (combo drive, burning). It better damn well perform to those specifications listed as advertised. The 16x combo drive was one of the main reasons why I purchsed the 800 MHz iBook.

I now have a new case number to call in to Apple with. I'm ready to 'blow'. I feel really sorry for the customer care tech that tells me it's my problem when they sold me a defective product. A lemon.

April 14, 2004

rolls eyes

I figured out what was causing the spacing at the top of my blog here... Turns out if you have less than seven days of entries on the main page it will try to center what is there according to the length of the sidebar to the left, and according to the length of your posts in the body. Kind of quirky if you ask me, but that's what the issue was. So, in order to get rid of that I had to change my configuration to display seven days instead of four. (shrugs) Oh well.

April 13, 2004

Easter was fun...

I am seriously thinking about moving over to Movable Type for this blog to see if it will fix my template errors. Getting tired of the quirky updates and my template not working correctly. It's REALLY bothering me.

January 23, 2004

Saturn Broke Down

We called for road side assistance, and said we need help and a tow. It took forever (1 hour and a half) to get the guy to show up. (Please take note he had tools that I didn't. A portable jump starter, and load tester.) I have a jump starter/charger, but it's not portable, and I do not have a load/voltage tester. I have a voltage tester (my old electronics voltage meter. It OBVIOUSLY didn't occur to me to attach the voltage meter to the battery and turn on the headlights to test to see if it would hold the load.) He jumped the car, then added load on the battery to test to see if it holds the load. The battery would NOT hold it's load like it was suppose to. Sure it would stay charged at 12 volts, but would 'crap out' when he added load on it. The battery would not start the car even though it was fully charged.

Anyway, he followed us all the way to Pep Boys (jerry rigging the battery charger to the battery with the hood up). The new Energizer battery that we purchased is in the car (I replaced it in the parking lot of Pep Boys. Yes, I am a capable girl when I use my brain. LOL). It has a warranty of 24 months, and road side assistance free. If the battery dies (and we don't happen to have All State road side) they will send someone out to jump us, and we take it to Pep Boys and replace the battery for free. The bad thing is it costed $75. (Better than the $225 estimate that was going to cost for the alternator after the $59 tow. If indeed it was the alternator.)

What a horrid two days...

January 12, 2004

I had to remove the used burner I received from my Mom this Christmas. It decided to die on me. I'm very disappointed. Oh well. Guess it's time to save up for a new one.

December 1, 2003

Dad is doing wonderful now. A little slow, but great! ;-)

Thanksgiving was also good. We had lots of food, family, and stayed a few extra days to just hang out. It's kind of nice to do that when your neices and nephews are around. We played video games, and watched movies for fun. We even went to see "Master And Commander" at the movies, which was also surprisingly good even though the theatre workers didn't turn out the lights during the movie. I had this constant spot light on me that made it difficult to see the darker scenes in the movie, and it was quite annoying. But the movie was still good.

We are packing up today, and heading back to PA. Should be home by early evening. We hope.

back for a few days

I'm back for a few days, but heading back out on Wednesday morning to NY again for Thankgiving Holiday. Have loads of laundry and work to get caught up on before I go though. *sighs* Hopefully Dad will be home from the hospital by Tuesday before I get there. *crossing fingers*

Well, we will be heading out tomorrow early to head up to NY for my father in law's heart surgery. We will be up there till Saturday, or Sunday at the latest. I'm hoping that this trip will be uneventfull, and all will be fine. Taking my iBook, palm, and cell phone.

family stuff

My fauther in-law went in for an angioplasty, and the Dr. wound up having to stop due to the fact that he couldn't continue with the procedure. The Dr said, Dad's arteries were just too clogged up. Dad has to be rescheduled to go back in for five bipasses. Until he goes through the surgery he is not allowed to do anything that would cause him stress, or he would likely have a heart attack. This all might be scheduled for next week sometime. :-(

I sent my 19" ViewSonic monitor back again. This time they are sending me a new one. Their last replacement was used, and died after two weeks. *sighs* I hope this doesn't keep happening. This whole issue is seriously making me want to go with one of their competitors.

On another note. iTunes seems to be doing well with Windows users. :)

ajkst1 writes "According to an [0]Apple press release, the iTunes Music Store has sold 1 million songs since its release on the Windows platform on October 16. Also of note is the 1 million downloads of the [1]iTunes music program itself. When the iTMS was first released, it took a full week to sell a million songs. The store has now had 14 million songs purchased and downloaded since its original launch in April."

Back From BI

Back from Block Island...

I really do love to get away from work for peace and quiet. There is nothing like it. It gives me a new outlook, and I don't feel so burnt out.

While I was away I did some new Bryce 3D pictures. I hope you enjoy them, and they are located on my Kayetie@Work pages under multimedia. The pictures in specific are "Desert Rock" & "Dragonfly". I have them up for viewing at 540x405, but the actualy images are 1024xwhatever *lol*.

My Birthday

My Birthday was last Thursday (May 22nd). I had a fine day. Recieved a gift from long time friends, which I was not expecting. It was a nice surprise. My lovely "SO" bought me "Hitman 2" for the Xbox, which I've been wanting. I originally had it for the pc, but I had problems running the game. Received some Birthday cards in the mail from family members, along with a nice donation from each torwards a new laptop that I am saving up for.

I was given a G3 Wallstreet some time ago from my "SO", but it seems my laptop bag was dropped 3 feet from the parents jeep onto concrete. Let's just say the laptop is not happy, and will need more repairs if I intend to use it on the road. The expense to fix it is quite steep, so I have decided to just save up the money and get a new Ibook.

I've been sick lately...

I've been sick lately with a sinus infection, which sucks. Bad caugh, congestion, etc. Haven't been up to much other than laying around in bed trying to get better. Doing my admin work for the Castle, which I can do from bed. Feeling miserable though. :-(

I need to put up another blog on my personal site, so I can whine about everything. Most of the postings here are technical related. Not sure if it would be appropriate to post personal stuff here. Please comment and give me your opinions on this.

Home page update

Added a few pages to my home page. You can find the link to the left. My first attempt at poetry. I don't claim to be a poet, so don't be so hard on me when you read them. *smiles*

Updated my home page

I updated my personal home page today. There were a few things that were broken in the last server move, so these issues are now fixed. I really need to redo the theme for this slightly. Just the fonts I use for the graphics should do, but this will be updated when I have more time.

Thanksgiving At Moms...

Went to my Mom's for Thanksgiving this year... It was a good visit... Turkey dinner was good. Wound up having to fix a slew of problems with my Mom's computer, and my Brothers old 233MMX dinosaur.

My Brother's computer had hardware issues after I updated him from Win98 to Win98SE with all the latest security patches. His CDROM stopped working! Wound up opening his tower to take a look at the way the previous technicians setup his hardrive, and CDROM. Couldn't believe my eyes... They stuck the CDROM in slave position in the ribbon cable, but didn't set the jumper, nor did they include a jumper. So, the CDROM and the hard drive were conflicting fighting for MASTER rights on the ribbon cable. *shakes head* Stuck in a jumper on the CDROM to mark slave position. Now the CDROM & hard drive are working correctly. Then... I had to install antivirus software, and firewall on the machine, because it was not behind a router(NAT) setup. Configured the firewall to allow Network Sharing, so that he and my Mother could share files.

My mother had a slew of problems with her newer 1GHz HP machine...

The first... was with her firewall. She mistakingly blocked all inbound & outbound connections to her computer when she tried to block an email address of my Uncle's. He wound up getting infected with a worm, and it was sending infected attachments to everyone in his outlook email address book. I explained to my Mom that one can not block email addresses with the firewall version she was running. *smiles* One can only block by IP or MAC address.

The second... was that the infected email attachments she was getting from my Uncle were not allowing her to download her email. I could not remember the address for a webmail interface that would allow her to login to delete the infected email attachments. And her ISP (Road Runner) did not have a webmail interface to allow users to maintain their own accounts. This is a "bonehead" thing Road Runner is doing now. See instead of virus scanning the email and deleting the infected email. Like ANY worthy ISP would DO! They were just passing it on to 'said client'. <-- BAD IDEA!!! And if an ISP does this they should give you a web interface to manage infected messages allowing you to delete them. What Road Runner is doing is sending their clients to some other free webmail interface outside of their site and services to do this. Another BAD IDEA!!! It is stupid to send a client to an outside source to manage their email. At least now my Mom knows that if she gets an infected message she will have to go to an outside webmail interface to delete her infected messages.

The third... My Mom is not very computer savvy when it comes to computer security. She neglected to make sure her Windows OS version was updated and patched for security holes through Windows Update. Now she is all patched and running.

Now my Mother and Brother can share files....

Also, made a CD for my Uncle that included a Firewall and Antivirus software. He installed it, and I believe he is up and running in a clean environment now.

No Trick-or-Treaters...

We got our pumkins done this year, and they came out quite well. For the first time in 6 years we haven't had a single trick-or-treater. We were expecting an influx of kids in their cute costumes, but NOTHING. Strange... we even have children that live in our complex.

Now what are we going to do with all this candy. Anyone have any ideas, other than eating it?

Cornish Game Hen...

Had cornish game hen tonight for dinner. It's good. There is no difference between it and chicken. At least I couldn't tell by the taste of it. *shrugs*

My day was good. Did my admin work for the day, but I still have to send out reminders for next month. Guess I will do that tomorrow.

Thinking about joining an online game of "Castle Wolfenstein". The graphics for this game are great, and the action is good. I like it better than the quake, and unreal games. I do however love the roll playing games. I could play them for hours, if I had the time.

Finished reading "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris over my vacation at Block Island. Good book! I actually have on DVD the old movie that was made from the book, called "Manhunter". They left out a lot from the book concerning "Francis Dolarhyde" (The Killer). I am interested to see if the newer movie (Red Dragon) is closer to the book than the last movie (Manhunter). I keep seeing adverts for it, and it's driving me crazy. I want to see it!

Welcome.. or Go Away!?
