Girls Are Funny Like That...

So... The wife-y drives me over to pickup some Starbucks coffee. Two triple venti caramel machiatos, one with skim, one with whole. The cute little 'boytoy' (I'm not including her name for privacy reasons) asks me, "So, where's your other half?" I say, "She's in the car waiting." She then asks, "Why is she in the car waiting?" I say, "Cause she has her running clothes on (hasn't showered)." She cocks her head and raises one eyebrow at me, then says, "Girls are so funny like that aren't they?" I say with a smile, "Yes, they are." And the cute little blonde making the coffee giggles and smiles.

R.I.P Hornet

I spent close to an hour today trying to kill a hornet that somehow mysteriously ended up in the basement. This happens at least once or twice during the summer. I have to say, It's now dead. Instruments of death were; 1 broom, 1 magazine, 1 quick spray of the Raid Hornet spray. Now usually the first two instruments of death work, but for some reason today this one would not sit still. The cats are watching it waiting for it to fly to their level of leaping. Pffft! No luck for them today. I said, "Screw this. I've got stuff to do, and I'm tired of wasting time here." I grab the spray, and aim. Wah`la! It drops from the air like a 747 with no wings. Yah! Score! I pick it up and flush it.

7/24

Yeah, so, I've been talking about my cat a lot lately. And yes, I'm going to do it one more time. We introduced Darcie and Arrow yesterday evening. Right now there is mild posturing from both sides. Growling, spitting, swatting. No wounds yet, but I don't think it will get that far. Arrow keeps stalking her like some obsessive boyfriend. She really dislikes that, and is quick to pounce on him when he crosses her bounds of personal space. She doesn't mind sharing a domicile with another cat, but she doesn't necessarily want to be chummy or close. Right now she seems to be tolerating him pretty well I think. I'm hoping it gets better.

7/21...

My girly was waiting for me at the top of the stairs to the basement door this a.m. As soon as she knew beyond a doubt that the feet she saw under the door was me she meowed. I said, "Good morning, girly! I'll be right with you." She meowed more. Not because she wants out, but because she loves her breakfast meal. I open the door and she looks up at me and sits patiently for me to close the door behind me. She runs down the stairs like a mad cat knowing I'm going to fetch her food bowl - meowing. I run back up with her bowl, and she sits at the bottom of the stairs waiting for me to return. She's funny that way. Today is the last day of her ear medication. Yah!

Yesterday we picked up the Oblongs Complete DVD. We watched a few last that night, and laughed our asses off. It's so sick it will crack you up.

Now back to listening to all my Marilyn Manson albums.

Quick Trip...

We will be heading off to pick up my cat Darcie in Ohio. It's going to be 16 hours of driving both ways. We should be back sometime on the 13th. She has a Vet. appointment here in PA on the 14th for a checkup and shots to get her up to date. I miss the old puddy-girl.

Ugh.. The weather there... From NOAA.gov.

Rainy Days...

Did a lot of stuff today. We went by the hobby shop, and I picked up some paints and a three pack of D engines for when I finally get my D Engine Rocket built. We (since it was given to us from our nephew & family to both of us rocketeer) have the Phoenix. Right now I'll be finishing the Black Diamond that I got for my birthday. Going to work on it this evening. I'll take a picture of it when it's complete. I can't wait to get to the paints.

While out I also picked up another cat carrier for my cat Darcie. We are picking her up in Ohio from the 11th through the 14th. We will be staying one night only, if things go right. Then leaving the next day with her. I picked up some Eukanuba Mature Cat food for her. She's 14 now, and I don't want her eating food loaded full of dies and other crap.

Oooo Oooo Ahhh Ahhh...

The day started off with the Comcast tech showing up, and replacing our modem with a loner till we buy a new one. We picked up a new one at Best Buy, so he will come by tomorrow and install it. Not that we need him to, but he has to pick up his modem anyway. While at Best buy I picked up two CDs of "Breaking Benjamin". Albums are "Saturate" & "We Are Not Alone". I also went to the dentist today for a checkup & cleaning with x-rays. I had not seen a dentist since 1999. In 1999 I had a facial cavity. They could not fill it then. Today the cavity is a bit bigger. Big enough to fill now. Not bad that I only had that one since 1999. The dentist said to keep up the good work, and caring about my teeth enough to brush and floss every day - multiple times a day. I go back at the end of this month to have the filling completed (gives a big healthy smile). Now off to catch up on my Administrative work that has piled up.

July 4th Weekend...

13 Mosquito bites, odd scratches and bruises. I still can't figure out how I got most of the scratches and bruises. *shrugs* Anyway. Thank god the heat let up, or I'd be cranky as all hell. But it was humid.

*shivers* Spider

There was a spider on my desk this morning just to the right of my hand sitting there looking at me. *gasp* I was "ok" till it moved at me, then it had to die. It was a little furry black one. No markings. At least no markings I could see. I'm afraid of spiders. :(

Tonight we are planning to go to this TV Preview that we have tickets for. It's a focus group for new TV shows, and TV Ads. We are going to be subjected to 2 hours of this stuff. I have no idea what they will be showing till we get there. Maybe I'll blog about it afterward.

- Throws on some Infected Mushroom to listen to.

Update: Well, we didn't go to the TV Preview. There was too much work, and whatnot. Ugh.

Music, and Work

Working working... Listening to music... I had to write an abuse complaint to an ISP today. This particular person keeps coming back disrupting rooms, and harassing users. I just don't understand why someone would spend any amount of their time doing this. It's like 'they' have nothing better to do with their time. A suggestion for those of you who feel you NEED to do this. Go take a walk outside or something. Get a hobby. Read a book. IMHO... Harassing users at a chat site saying how lame they are makes you a huge hypocrite.

Going to grab "Cursed" to watch, IF it's in at BlockBuster Video. BlockBuster now allows you to keep your rental for a full week now. However, there are still the people that keep the movies past the 7 days that wind up getting charged a late fee. These people are bold enough to think they shouldn't have to pay the late fee - and stand there wasting everyones time arguing with the clerk(s)? You deserve to get charged! Being so unthoughtful of others as to keep a movie for over 7 days.

On the way back from errands we stopped and purchased two glasses of lemonade that the kids here were selling. It was worth it for the kids. However, the lemonade *coughs* needs a bit of work. We spent $1 for two glasses.

Music Albums Listened To:
Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm A Machine
Tool - Aenima
Tool - Undertow
Rage Against The Machine - Evil Empire

More Family Stuff:
I called my Father yesterday, and he seems to be doing quite well. He was working in the yard when I called. And I heard everyone there yell for him. Hahaha. For fourth of July weekend he is heading up to his parents (my Grandparents) to install a new tile floor for their kitchen. Should be relatively easy for him since he's done it before. My father is a machinist. He actually showed me the big computer machines he works with on a daily basis punching in schematics, and making parts for construction companies and such. It's neat.

June 20, 2005

Family Stuff...

I called my Step Dad today to see how he was doing, and to wish him a Happy Father's Day. I found out that he recently got remarried, which is a bit odd considering he just got divorced late April early May. This was a bit disturbing for me to hear really. I'm still a bit put off by it. Now I really feel awkward. I'm going to have to call my brother soon to see what his thoughts are on this. I congratulated him anyway on his new marriage.

Comcast... Troubles...

The tech showed up from Comcast Cable. Replacing all the cable, and put in new splitters in the basement. This increased the modems signal, but didn't really fix our bandwidth issue. Let's just say it's a little higher than the shitty speeds we have been getting over the past couple of days, but it's still not what we are paying for. Changing in and out the router and modem also did not fix the bandwidth issue.

Oh, and my gemini.netkungfu.org domains are down till I can update the DNS to the new cable IP.

Update: DNS, all fixed for now.

What A Long Long Day...

Got up early ran over to Starbucks for coffee. Then ran wife-y over to the clinic to have an ultrasound test done of her abdomen - Just a checkup. I watched and it was quite cool to see her insides on the screen. We then headed back home to pick up my cloths that I received over my birthday that were too small, or just not my style. Went to the mall for that, but now it's done. After that we ran to Best Buy to return a movie that we wound up buying the wrong version of. We wanted widescreen instead of the full screen version. THEN it was over to pickup some more cat food for little "Arrow Boy" (Our cat. My nickname for him :P), and some ear cleaning solution. Back home we drove to pickup Arrow for his 2 p. m. Vet. appointment. He needed his last baby booster shot, and a general checkup. He is now 3.4 pounds and a healthy, growing, little boy kitten. His last visit he weighed 2.9 pounds. And of course we received the "Awwww, he's so handsome!". LOL After that it was straight home for the end of day. I then made salads for food. And I just now finished up my administration work, and I'm damn tired. Time for beer and relaxation! Shortly I'm going to upload an mp3 file of Arrow playing with the ping pong ball in the bathtub. Hehehe

Here it is... Arrow - PingPong Bathtub

June 15, 2005

Our Cable Modem... And Arrow

So, we call Comcast Cable today to put in a tech call for our network here. We think the modem is dying or Comcast has some other network issue in our area that they are not admitting to. Seeing as the modem is sitting here in Ranging mode - I think it's the modem. It's well over two years old now, maybe three. The tech will not be here till Friday morning to debug any issues. It's back up for now.

Oh well. No work for me for the rest of the day. Time to work on finishing my DVD videos, listening to music, and reading. Maybe work on a new design.

Arrow last night late was playing with a ping pong ball in the bathtub. Yep! That's right! A ping pong ball in the bathtub. Just use the bathtub stopper to plug it up and let the ball rip. He was entertained for a VERY long time. And right now I hear the ping pong ball swirling around the tub as I type. Hahaha! It's equivalent to watching a good game of footy.

What A Day...

After finishing my Administrative work load for the day I started working on converting some MPEG video to VOB output for DVD burning. It's coming along "ok" I suppose. I'm still waiting for DVD Lab to convert my files to videots and audiots along with the menu system for burning. And thank god that my videos are under 4GB in size. Otherwise XP would have given me the finger. There are no errors yet, so I'm hoping I'm doing it right. This is a lot of work to do this on the PC, but the experience is worth it. I shall post an update when I'm able to burn to DVD and it works.

If I had an external case for my DVD burner I could be doing this all at once in iDVD, or even in Roxio without all this extra effort. All Praise Apple.

Update: Yah! I rock! My DVD conversion hard work payed off. I'm pumped to watch my created DVD now.

June 12, 2005

I Feel Like Crap...

Yeah, my nasty little Aunt came to visit. How I hate her. My friend Pamprin should be kicking in sometime soon.

On another note... I got my Memorex Dual Layer 16x DVD-R burner installed. And I've burned a test data DVD. Came out just fine. I'm happy with it so far.

VANS

So, I went today and ordered myself a pair of VANS - Swirl's with birthday money I received from my Father and Grandparents. Yah! I can't wait to get them.

June 3, 2005

TGIF, Yah!

I dropped off my black and white Tri-X film for developing at the local camera shop. I should get them back in a week or so. Meh! I can't wait. I'm like all excited.

I've uploaded a picture to my Photoblog as a teaser for what's to come for public viewing. Hope you enjoy it. Better ones are coming soon. Probably this evening sometime. But first I must export and resize them, which won't take too long.

I had one of my Arturo Fuente Rothchild cigars last evening, and it was damn tasty with my scotch. Mmmm...

I'm craving pizza... Ugh!

Little Arrow woke me up hacking at around 4 a.m. The little guy coughed up a huge hair ball. I don't know why they call them hair balls when they look like stomach turds. Anyway, I turned on the bathroom light and he was snuggled against the wall in what I call the 'bunny' position (with his paws under him) - Just staring at the hair ball. When I turned on the light he kept looking at it, then looking at me. So, I picked it up and flushed it. Then gave him pets, and talked to him in a nice calm voice. He then trotted in and jumped up on the bed to lay with Mommy for a bit. I'm guessing this is his first or second hair ball since birth. He looked traumatized about it. But now he's ok. Going to have to get him some hair ball remover (goopy stuff) to mix with his food. That way he will hopefully poop it out instead of puking it up. I don't know anyone that likes to puke do you? <-- rhetorical question.

Birthday Gifts Arrived

Gifts from my friend Kim. One is the "Mythology: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross", and the other is "Wicked City" a really good anime. Yah! *hoogs* Thank you so much! :D

First Day Back

And I'm updated on my workload. At the moment I'm backing up my photographs taken, and I'm exporting them to an iPhoto album viewable online. Family and friends have access to this. I will be putting up non personal pictures to my photoblog shortly in a day or two. The videos will take a few days more to convert for web.

I finally fixed AA 2.4.. It just needed a clean install. Yah! I'l be playing this tonight if there is no clan gaming going on.

Block Island, The 31st

Everyone is gone now. It's just us and Arrow our kitten. We have an 8:15 a.m. ferry off the island tomorrow (Wednesday the 1st). Today is just periodic cleaning, and packing up. We are planning on doing nothing but that, and work today. Tonight is packing up the car. We should be home in PA by 2 p.m.

I'm tired.

Block Island, The 30th

We launched my Rockets today with the kids. Wife-y recorded the launches for me. The kids were there, and I let them do the launches and recovery. I just readied them for launch. The "Heatseeker" fell apart in flight. It came down in two pieces. I was concerned about this putting it together. I knew I should've replaced the questionable part in the beginning. This particular Estes rocket comes with a basic material flaw. The shock cord. This rocket comes with an elastic shock cord. Not good for heat. It catches fire and burns. I'm going to replace this upon getting home with a rubber band. They are more resistant to heat. Proof of concept is the "Outlaw". It has a rubber band as a shock cord.

We had good launches with the "Outlaw". It's had five launches with light damage to the parachute so far. Not enough to effect it's flight down. Easily repairable. Estes rockets come with plastic parachutes, so they are cheap to replace if need be.

Oh, there was A LOT of wind. I had to angle it to a point where I was worried about it hitting another house. I moved it another five feet to my left. It worked. And drifted back onto the launch field. :D The kids enjoyed it, but I think I enjoyed it MORE.

Mom and Dad have left to the ferry to head back to N.Y. One of the children stayed with us. The older boy G. Everyone else headed to the beach for a bit. After that it's to Club Soda for snacks, video games, and drinks. Yah!

Our ferry is planned for Wednesday, but we might try to catch one of the Tuesday ferries. The Tuesday leaving is iffy.

May 29, 2005

Block Island, The 29th

Today we biked from home into town to Rebecca's. A nice little take out place. They have great tuna steak sandwiches, and great BBQ chicken sandwiches. After eating we biked over to Scotch Beach to meet the rest of the family. We hung out there for a quite a while. I let my little nephew do flips off my legs. *chuckles* He kept doing it till I was SO tired. Aunt Kayetie called for a Time Out. After hanging out for a bit we headed back home on the bikes stopping along the way to take pictures, and rest. Lots of hills here, and they can give your legs a nice burn. After dinner, a beer, a few glasses of wine, and ice cream - I'm ready for bed now. Play a bit with Arrow, and read till I fall asleep. It's raining now (lightning and thunder). I haven't been online for a while now. I'm kind of feeling like a junky wanting a fix.

Block Island, The 28th

We went to the beach today. It turned out to be a sunny day after all. We went out to dinner at the Oar, after that we came home. I had a couple of Mud Slides, and a huge chicken ceasar salad. Was quite yummy. I've taken so many pictures so far since being here. I can't wait to share them when getting home.

May 27, 2005

Block Island, The 27th

I woke up around 6 a.m. from a horrible nightmare about wife-y. Errr. It was bad. I rolled over to snuggle up with wife-y to feel some comfort after it. She wound up saying in her sleep (Her also dreaming of being terrorized by kitten in her sleep), "Stop shaking the bed! Get lost!" Arrow the kitten gave us a ruff night. More her though. Ugh. I just got up and grabbed my book and read on the floor for a bit with the kitten curled up in my lap.

Today turned out to be a sunny day after such horrid weather. I actually got a bit of sun burn on my face today when we walked up to the shore with the kids. It was quite enjoyable. I finished off my black and white roll of Tri-X film, so that is sitting in my bag for when I return to PA for developing.

Earlier in the evening a wonderful dinner was made by the family. After was the birthday cake. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, and I blew out the candles. With ice cream also. Gifts followed, and I had a wonderful evening.

There was a bit of rain, thunder, and lightning this evening. But it seems to have cleared.

May 26, 2005

Block Island, The 26th

The storm last night was hellish. The bedrooms upstairs swayed and vibrated in the 50 mile an hour gusts of wind. It was disturbing. I've been through hurricane Andrew, so this was a bit odd for me. It made me nervous. So, I read my book and listened to music on my iPod. I also watched a bit of the Sponge Bob Squarepants movie, then turned the light off and went to sleep. I'm glad that storm is over.

Today the family arrives after 7 p.m. Most likely 8 p.m. if they catch the 7 p.m. ferry. We went for a walk today up to the beach near the house off of S.W. Point. I took both cameras. Took my Canon A85 (with Telephoto lens) for any color automatic shots, and my OM2-n for any black and white film shots. I'm almost done with the Tri-X black and white roll. When I get back to PA I can send these out to get them developed. This will take a week though, so I will try to drop them off the following day after returning. It will be interested to see the black and white photographs. Supposedly the Tri-X has better contrast, but the automatic/color black and white has a deeper black. I can't wait to compare the photographs from each roll.

May 25, 2005

Block Island, The 25th

Woke up today to a gray rainy day with hellish wind. All ferries were cancelled. No one is going off or on island. It's that bad. We did some errands with Arrow, and he rode along fine. He slept most of the time, which was good. We came back and the maids arrived to clean the house a bit before family arrives tomorrow evening. Of course one of the cleaning ladies was all gooey over Arrow. He's such a stud. *LOL* They are gone now, and we are making dinner while the boy slumbers. He's had a big day, and we are tired as well. Black beans and rice is for dinner tonight. Mmm.. And Pie for dessert.

May 24, 2005

Block Island, The 24th

Today is cold and rainy. So, there are no rocket launches today. I'm feeling so tired. I can barely keep my eyes open. I need a nap. Maybe I'll take one after a bit. But first I must do work.

May 23, 2005

Block Island, The 23rd

Today was a good day. Went into town to pickup some Duko Cement glue for my rockets. I didn't feel the Super Glue would hold long term. Anyway, I now have two rockets built. The Astron Outlaw and the AGM-57X Heatseeker. So far the Outlaw has had two successful launches. I have pictures, and a video that will be up soon. The third rocket I have I am going to wait till I get home. It's more involved, and I want to get some good paints at the hobby shop in PA.

My Birthday Today

I woke up and opened up my Birthday presents from C. and P. C, gave me a beginners Estes Rocket Kit. It came with the Astron Outlaw (Blasts 600 FT high - 183 m), and the Black Diamond (Blasts 1400 FT high - 427 m). P, gave me an AGM-57X Heatseeker Rocket, and a SHIT load of engines. It goes up to 800 FT (244 m). I'm going to take some pictures after building them to put up here. Thank You!!!! :D

I'm in the process of building the Astron Outlaw today, and will be finished today. It will be my first launch hopefully sometime this week. Yah!

I had some homemade baked potato soup a bit ago. And we are going out for drinks soon. While out we will order out from Eli's. I pretty good restaurant on the island. Mmmm... And bring it back here to munch down.

May 21, 2005

Saturday... The 21st

Woke up a bit late today. I was SO tired. Spent most of the day so far playing and interacting with Arrow. He seems to require it for now. Went a bit ago and picked up some extra items from the grocery store. For dessert... Blueberry pie, and a pumpkin pie for my Birthday tomorrow. Mmmmm... PIE!

I had a couple of bad DNS servers in my DNS setup, so this is fixed now. I can get anywhere now, although it's REALLY damn slow. While at the house I'll be on dialup. So, I won't be online for too long. Just long enough to check my email, and do my Admin work. Can't keep the phone line tied up. Oh, how I loathe being on a dialup modem. :( I'm hoping that we can pop into the Public Library for a bit sometime while here.

It's been overcast here on Block Island, and chilly.

May 15, 2005

Sunday And The Gremlins In My Head...

I feel completely exhausted, sensitive to light and sound. Lethargic after yesterday evening with a migraine. I still have a bit of a regular headache. More ghost pains I suppose. I couldn't sleep last night at all. I finally fell asleep in the wee hours of this morning. Didn't want to get out of bed AT ALL. But I laid there for a bit just staring off into space.

I'm just glad I finished my work for the day, although it did take me a bit longer to complete it.

May 14, 2005

Ip Audit Is Finished... Yah!

Thank god, it's done. What torture it was. Tedious. Now it can just be maintained with strict editing rules. Now to find something fun to do.

Talk Of Closing Willow Grove Reserve Base...

They say it will save everyone tax dollars. Ok. What about the occasional Willow Grove Air Show that you take your kids to see that they always enjoy? If it really closes, then this fun family outing will be no more. I enjoy going to the Willow Grove Air Shows. It's a nice day out, and you get to pig out on junk food. And buy trinkets you really don't need while enjoying the high flying acrobatics of the pilots. This will be a sad day.

May 10, 2005

We Went Shopping For Kitten Supplies...

Holy Shit! We spent lots of money on toys, food, grooming supplies, and other added stuff. *laughing* I haven't had this much fun shopping in a long time. We pick him up from the breeder on the 17th of this month. He is a Seal Point Siamese. Yah!

Happy Mother's Day

That's right... You Mothers!

:D hehehehe... bleh... What a lazy day.

May 1, 2005

Bleh? Sunday?

It?s a sunny day today, but a bit cool. I might go on a bike ride with my camera, and iPod. If I take anything good I?ll put it up on my photoblog, and link a few here. I have to try and find a bumblebee, or a bumblebee on a flower for a friend. No, I haven't forgotten. The past few days have been shitty for bumblebee 'capture'.

Update: Well, right as I was getting ready to head out of the circle a migraine comes on. I immediately start losing my eye sight. I only have half my vision. I head back inside to lay down. Wifey was sad that I couldn't go, and she was looking forward to a nice long ride with me. Sowwy! :(

Grrr... Screw The Title!

I updated my 2005 gallery with an iPhoto export. If anyone notices any graphics not showing up right in my blog here email me. Or post on one of my current posts in the comments section. The link is in the left menu area there. Enjoy. :D

I went out and took some pictures today. Some pretty flowers. And a cute little baby bunny - I almost stepped on. Good thing I was looking down when I was walking. I would have cried for days, if I had hurt the little fellow. Seriously. I would have had to see a head shrink, because of this little bunny. OMG.

I'll put up the pictures shortly on my photoblog.

Update: Pictures are up. Enjoy!

April 15, 2005

Frustrated...

I?ve been grappling with selling my background/wallpapers, and how to go about doing it. Right now I have a small store setup with Coppermine.

My concerns are? 1) Do I put up the graphics at a 400xwhatever size for viewing only. People buy then I email the graphics to them. 2) Do I put up the graphics with the original sizes risking increasing bandwidth charges, and getting ripped off at the same time. (This will happen. I have no way to limit the download(s) to people that actually purchase.)

I don?t know, but I?m sticking with #1 right now.

What about other services? Well, I'm using one right now in addition to my Coppermine site. The problem with using D.P. (figure out the name for yourself) or any other service like this; is it?s not free. They get a percentage of what you sell. Sure it?s free for the first 60 days, but after that you get these shitty spam letters saying your pictures/graphics will be deleted if you don?t turn off the store front for those pictures/graphics, or buy a membership. Why should I have to buy a membership when you are already getting a percentage for anything I sell? This little scenario is what I am running into often.

I think I?ll stick with my Coppermine site for a while. I make all the money and do all the work. Sounds good to me.

I Want...

Ok. This would make a really great birthday gift. *hint hint*

Who doesn't want their very own flying saucer? Huh? Huh?

April 9, 2005

Meh..

These shoes are so sweet. Puma ? Velez Drools like a freak.

Still working on the new Bryce creation. Something a little different. Not sure when it will be done. But should be soon. Inside my head I hear, ?But when is soon?? ? And an adult saying, ?Soon, means soon.?? The render is at 4%, and it?s 1:14 p.m.

Update: After fighting a migraine for a several hours my render is at 53%. This is going to take most of the afternoon it seems. Ugh! My head is killing me.

Friday

Earlier I was working on a new Bryce 3D creation. It needs more work to be realistic. I'll work on that more tomorrow.

gavins.jpg We went to Gavin?s for a celebratory drink for P. The girls working there are HOT. Attractive. Sweet natured. The girls wear these white, tight shirts with Gavin?s printed over the left breast. And these cute little short black skirts. Reow! The music was a bit loud for conversation, but who cares after a couple of glasses of Guinness draft.

Now to play some AA for a bit.

Thursday

For the past couple of days Comcast Cable has been muddy shit. Either a router fried, or they are having DNS issues. It?s only been in the afternoon though. Around 3-6 p.m. And it goes out totally at 5:15 p.m. So, we call for a day?s credit. Why? They never have it back up fast. It?s always over 2 hours for repairs. Comcast says the DNS/routing is out in a large area. They are not sure as to why. Right.

MSN shows me as constantly going on and off.

Now I sit reading a comic (?The Authority?). It?s damn good.

We went to see ?Sin City? today, and we both thought it was good.

Has anyone heard ?50 Cent ? The Massacre? album? Too much gangster rap for me. Oh my god! That?s a lot of anger for someone to be carrying around. It actually distracted me from sketching. I stopped sketching and just listened to the rest of it. I just don't know.

Comcast seems to be back up somewhat. Oy.

***No Title Damnit***

So, the wireless router went out today. What an inconvenience.

Made sandwiches (egg & ham salad). After that I went for a walk with my camera and iPod. It?s a nice day out, and sunny. And I?m a bit pale. Not a translucent pale, but lily white pale. It?s hot when you?re out there walking though. Oh! I took some pictures. Holy Heat wave! I?m staying in the basement. It?s much cooler in the basement with cement walls.

Back to doing laundry and listening to music.

April 5, 2005

You Crazy!

Well, I got up way early and made coffee and homemade peach pancakes. I go in to wake up the wifey, and she says, "Where is kayetie? What have you done with her?" Apparently I got up too early. *chuckles* The pancakes were super yummy though. *stands like superman with her hands on her hips giving a sly smile*

Has another bucket of coffee. Yah! I have enough caffeine to take over the world. *laughs* ... And to fuel a small refinery.

I also digitally recorded from my ComproTV card a "Robot Chicken" episode(s) that I always seem to miss. It's late at night when they come on, so I have to record them. Then convert with Dr. DivX to a smaller compressed .avi file. I'm not entirely happy with the quality though of the final file. It went from 900MB to 77MB in size. There is some pixel'ation. I need to find another plugin for Dr. DivX or some other application to do this with better video quality. I found a free conversion utility at FlaskMPEG, which I am currently trying to see if it will reduce file size and convert to .avi format.

Bah! It was more like spring out today. It was quite warm. The bumble bees are out along with the wasps in force. I hate wasps. The bumble bees are the equivalent of a big dumb jock. *nods*

April 2, 2005

Yah! It's Saturday...

*hehe* So, I'm sitting here after doing a bit of work trying to figure out what to remove from my iPod to make room for other music. The problem is eventually I want to listen to the album I just removed. Ugh! This is hard to do for me. I never know what I am in the mood for. I'm sitting on IRC, and in MSN. No one is chatting at me today, strangely enough.

After I think I'm going to go through my photographs from Easter, and put some up on my photoblog.

April 1, 2005

hahaha

Oh boy What a lovely show of Republican Force.

Ann Coulter could start a riot just from her presence, me thinks. *lol*

Oh Well...

MSN is acting up today, so I'm sitting on irc.blessed.net. Channel: kayetie, lesbian, macintosh. :)

Sketching & Playing In Flash

I did some more sketching in my little book. Dragons. I love dragons, but I honestly need to practice drawing them a lot more. I also was playing in Flash a bit with cartooning. Surprisingly you can cartoon quite well in it. Thumbs up to the Macromedia team on that application.

What was I cartooning you ask? Sorry, that's top secret. On a need to know basis. At this time that is. *hehe*

Maybe I'll scan and put up a few of the dragons I've drawn. We'll see.

Also, it's been a shitty/rainy day.

No Sun, No Fun

So, today is gray and gloomy out. Depressing if you want to take a walk. It's around 39F, and it feels colder outside. I'm working on a new design today. Sorry, no estimate on completion. I'm listening to "HHGG", and sitting on IM. Must do other things while render completes. And I'm periodically sketching in my book.

Philly Steak & Crab

I had French Onion Soup, and Lobster & Crab Ravioli as my main dish. For dessert I had Chocolate Cream Cake. I ate the whole peice of cake. None for you!

The food was great.

Please don't be so harsh on the photographs. It was a bit dark inside. Romantic for couples. The pictures came out a bit too bright.

We had a fine dining experience overall. A wonderful evening out.

Long Day Out

We did some grocery shopping today, and got everything that was on the list. Then over to CVS to pickup from the pharmacy. After that it was back home to unload the groceries. We decided the milk wouldn't last too long in the trunk in 40 degree weather in the sun. It was warm in the car. After unloading we headed back out to Best Buy to pickup "The Incredibles", then off to Pep Boys to pickup some antifreeze/coolant for the car. On the way home I picked up some beer. That was it, but it was a long outing.

March 12, 2005

:P

I'm back home. Now to relax before dinner. Ugh.

Rain, Then Snow

Today started off with rain, and now it's snowing.

Update: It's now 3:03pm and the wind has picked up. It's damn nasty out today.

Seagull In Pennsylvania?

03-06-05_1727.jpg
Ok. Someone tell me why there is a single Seagull in the middle of a shoppping center in Horsham, Pennsylvania? These birds are not commen for the area, and I haven't seen any here at all. Why now?

yeee

I am working on a new design. Hopefully I will have this up by late evening, or tomorrow sometime. It will depend on how long it takes it to render. Finished my work that was in my inbox. Just designing and waiting on incoming requests. Ahhh... Back to it.

February 28, 2005

It's Snowing Today

We are suppose to get 3 to 5 inches, but we'll see.

My renders are downstairs waiting on me, but it's dreary downstairs. Depressing. It's dark and gloomy. I'd rather stay upstairs. So, I can't be bothered to get the renders that I've done. I think I prefer to just start a new one on my iBook.

There is a newer version of MacJournal 2.6.1 out, so give it a whirl. Freeware. I prefer this particular journal, because you can password it, and you can have multiple journals. You can also post to LiveJournal or Blogger with it.

Update: It's up to 8 inches now for the storm. Big Snow Storm Moving Up The East Coast

Patiently Waiting

For this render to complete. It's taken most of the day, and it's still 97% complete. Right now I'm sampling the new Tori Amos Album "The Beekeeper". I like it so far. *smiles*

What Is Your Seduction Style?

Your Seduction Style: The Natural
You don't really try to seduce people... it just seems to happen. Fun loving and free spirited, you bring out the inner child in people. You are spontaneous, sincere, and unpretentious - a hard combo to find! People drop their guard around you, and find themselves falling fast.

Bank, and Mall

Before heading off to the King of Prussia Mall we stopped by the bank to take out some cash for the trip. On the way into the Citizens Bank (Maple Glen) parking lot we notice that a man hole cover is missing. I take a couple of pictures, and then wifey runs into the bank to let them know that someone stole their man hole cover. I can't believe that no one noticed it gone. The thing is flooded with water. Not to mention you could screw up your car, or lose a small child.

Anyway, I picked up my pants at Brooks Brother's. Putting them on again after being tailored made me feel all tingly inside. *hehe* We walked around for a bit. Went into the Discovery store to look around. We spent WAY too much time in there. Then looked around in EB Games, Sears, and Brookstone. Oh, and there was a pit stop at the bathrooms.

On the way home we stopped and picked up a few things at the grocery store. Toiletries and such. We then picked up some Quiznos subs for chow. Mmmm.

February 10, 2005

Today

After a morning 'hangup' we hopped into the car and drove to StarBucks. Once the coffee was attained we headed over to Micro Center to pickup wifey's iShuffle. That done we jumped in the car and drove a little further to King of Prussia Mall. There we went into the Apple Store, and then to Brooks Brother's to return my dress pants, and get another pair that were feminine yet not too flaired in the legs. Wound up paying a little more for them, but I got them fitted while I was there. I pick them up on the 16th. On the way back home we were held up (traffic here sucks anyway) by President Bush's little visit. He came in through the air base here. Thanks for the traffic jam!

Super Bowl Day Boredom

I did my weekend work load. That's that.

I'm sitting here killing time. Played in Photoshop for a bit today. I'm listening to my iPod and sipping a beer before the game starts. Overall, it's been a boring day so far. Sundays always are quite boring for me.

I really hate Super Bowl pre-game B.S. Ugh. It's torture to watch. I'd rather be watching a good soccer or hockey game instead. I often wonder why American football is called 'football' at all. It doesn't make sense when it's mostly pass and carry. When soccer is the sport that should be called football, really.

What A Day

Wound up going to see a movie today, "Hide And Seek". The way it was advertised totally throws you off from what the real premise is for the movie. Not saying anything more. Go see it and form your own opinion about it.

On another note... I will no longer be putting up graphics, or pictures on The
