Darcie - Dar-Cougen Update
We took her in for her appointment yesterday, and had the x-rays done. She has Lymphoma. It’s so advanced it’s riddled through her entire body (including her lungs). There is no treatment our veterinarian can offer other than treating her for pain to try and make her comfortable. She also gave us a number for an oncologist. To get further information. So, that we are making the informed, and right decision. Our veterinarian gave us her condolences, and handed Darcie’s x-rays to me for review by the oncologist. If Darcie is treated with chemotherapy it might help her to live another month. Not much of a quality of life on chemotherapy weekly, in my opinion. Plus they can never fix her paw. The cancer has eaten away at her paw, and it’s set in her lymph glands. I see no point in chemotherapy, or anything else invasive. She would die on the table, because of how cancer riddled her lungs are.
I just want to make her as comfortable as possible with what time she has left with us.
