March 31, 2005

Ok. There is a new one up. I'm starting light. The point is to keep me doing them. And if they are too elaborate right now I will have difficulty keeping that up. Hopefully this will get me started again. My stuff is on the left there in the menu.

Pretty Much Caught Up...

Yah! Now back to reinstalling non-working software on my PC.

Tons Of Work

OMG, I have so much work to get done. Dealing with my PC is slowing me down a bit. *sighs* Oh well.

March 29, 2005

I'm going to run out and get a new 80GB hard drive. I think my main C drive is just too old. After I stick in the new hard drive, and install my OS. I'm going to find out if the issues of my operating system being slow go away. It's either the drive, or my motherboard has bus issues. I'm hoping it's just the hard drive. Paying for a new motherboard is going to hurt.

Update: I installed the new 80GB drive, and installed windows. This was amazing, because it was fast. Windows is installed and updated already, and now I'm just reinstalling my applications that I use. My reboots are down to 1/4 of the time that it took me before. Fast as hell.

My Parents

Their divorce will be final on April 20th of 2005. Over 25 years of marriage down the tubes. How sad.

*throws Massive Attack's - Dissoved Girl on the jukey to listen to*

OS X Games

While I'm tired, and reinstalling Windows (winblows) OS I am gaming on my iBook. Some good games; Never Winter Nights, Argonaut (If you like arcade Asteroids, then you will LOVE this. Great music to get you pumpin to play. And it's only a 11.something MB install.), MacMAME (always a favorite of mine. I love arcade type games.), Maelstrom (Small arcade type game. It rocks. Another small install. 2.8MB on disk.) I wish I could put up screenshots from the games, but these don't allow for screenshots. And the typical Mac command keys for screenshots don't work inside the games. Anyone have a fix for this?!?! Anyone?

Music: Massive Attack - Better Things - Protection.. album.

Back Home...

Ugh, what a long rainy day. Tired. I made some ham salad sandwiches after unloading the car. Was yummy. Now to get some work done. *sighs*

Edit: What the hell. I start up my PC, and the damn thing hangs on boot. This is the only operating system I know that does this after you safely shut it down. Piece of MS crap!

Edit2: I'm now reinstalling windows.

Off The Mark

The adults were up at 8 am waiting on the kids for the egg hunt. The eggs were hidden by the Easter Bunnies all through the house, and outside. Yes, there were quite a few Easter Bunnies. *winks* I can't divulge the Easter Bunnies. Sorry. You 'vill not make me talk.

The kids are gone now, and it's just 'us' and the parents. We are tired. We were going to drive home, but then I noticed the time. It was getting late. The kids didn't leave till around 5 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. I always enjoy them. Great kids.

Now it's time to wind down with a beer. *sighs*

Easter Weekend

I am off to the Mall for a few Birthday gifts, then to N.Y for Easter. Hopefully I will be able to blog from there. I should, but I won't be on much. I'll be plenty distracted with family I suppose.

Happy Easter!

Sketching & Playing In Flash

I did some more sketching in my little book. Dragons. I love dragons, but I honestly need to practice drawing them a lot more. I also was playing in Flash a bit with cartooning. Surprisingly you can cartoon quite well in it. Thumbs up to the Macromedia team on that application.

What was I cartooning you ask? Sorry, that's top secret. On a need to know basis. At this time that is. *hehe*

Maybe I'll scan and put up a few of the dragons I've drawn. We'll see.

Also, it's been a shitty/rainy day.

Something darker.

Yeah, it's yellow.

XMOD 1967 Camaro

I took this out to the parking area here. We have a nice big black top circle. The car ran for about 15 minutes before the batteries gave out. I'm thinking of upgrades already. *chuckles* Oh, geez. New motor (Stage 2 - 5.33:1-geared), and metal bearings to start with. This car screams drag setup, so I'm going to go with that. This should give me quite a performance upgrade.

I'd like to add that the neighbors loved it. A few watched me run it around for a bit. I have to admit though they were guys. *laughs* They wanted my little XMOD. No! You can't have my XMOD boyos!

No Sun, No Fun

So, today is gray and gloomy out. Depressing if you want to take a walk. It's around 39F, and it feels colder outside. I'm working on a new design today. Sorry, no estimate on completion. I'm listening to "HHGG", and sitting on IM. Must do other things while render completes. And I'm periodically sketching in my book.

Philly Steak & Crab

I had French Onion Soup, and Lobster & Crab Ravioli as my main dish. For dessert I had Chocolate Cream Cake. I ate the whole peice of cake. None for you!

The food was great.

Please don't be so harsh on the photographs. It was a bit dark inside. Romantic for couples. The pictures came out a bit too bright.

We had a fine dining experience overall. A wonderful evening out.

Space Ghost #2 & #3

Just read number two and three, and they were damn good. Must have more. More! *chuckles*

Chugging through my days work at the moment, but taking a break to write this.

I'm on the 'rag' and I?m feeling venomous, as I always do. I?m in pain, and mildly sedated with the Pamprin. Keeps from flipping out. I get irritated very easily. And I feel completely exhausted. Partly it?s due to the Pamprin. But then, I don?t think I?ve ever felt good at that time of the month. I?m the equivalent of a pissy cat right now. You know, ?I want to be hugged?, but then I flip out and spit at you a few seconds later for no rational reason. Miserable!

Oh, and I look exhausted.

We are scheduled to go out for dinner this evening. From around 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. A steak and seafood house was suggested. I'll try and remember to take my camera. To take pictures of the food.

Space Ghost #1 - 2005

I really enjoyed this first issue of the new Space Ghost. I've read quite a few blogs of avid readers that say they are not entirely sure they like it, or are happy with it. Howerver, I like it. I look forward to reading the next issue.

"Neurotically Yours"

Oh, good god! These are funny. These are for the mature adult, in my opinion. A bit twisted. You've had your warning.

I wound up getting the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro today. :D I can't wait to start putting it together. But first I must finish my work load for the day.

Update: This little bugger is pretty fast.

The Basic Idea of Marriage Is to Raise Kids

"Gays can't have kids ? other than going to the abandoned kids store and getting one or two, or borrowing sperm from someone with more sperm than brains ? so by definition they're out of the marriage game."

"Now what about this ruling that gay marriage is legal from the judge in San Francisco?

Well what about it? He's a judge in San Francisco ? of course he says gay marriage is constitutional. You think he could live there if he said otherwise?"

Long Day Out

We did some grocery shopping today, and got everything that was on the list. Then over to CVS to pickup from the pharmacy. After that it was back home to unload the groceries. We decided the milk wouldn't last too long in the trunk in 40 degree weather in the sun. It was warm in the car. After unloading we headed back out to Best Buy to pickup "The Incredibles", then off to Pep Boys to pickup some antifreeze/coolant for the car. On the way home I picked up some beer. That was it, but it was a long outing.

OMG! This is so fucking cool.

If there is one thing you learn about weapon safety it is, "Always assume your a weapon is loaded". Remember that! And I'm finding it hard to believe that the weapon in question was not checked before bringing it into the room full of people.

Photos Are Up

Most of my photographs from my NY trip are up on my Photoblog. You might want to check them out, if you are interested. The overall trip was good. It was nice to get away from home for a bit. My Administration work piled up in my inbox, but I can't complain. It was nice to see the parents, and nice to meet a few of our clients.

March 12, 2005

I'm back home. Now to relax before dinner. Ugh.

March 9, 2005

We were in Manhatten, NY most of the day. In between work, and whatnot, I took lots of pictures. I love the buildings there. I could spend all day behind the camera taking pictures of the city, and it's people. I'll have the pictures up within a few days.

Seagull In Pennsylvania?

Ok. Someone tell me why there is a single Seagull in the middle of a shoppping center in Horsham, Pennsylvania? These birds are not commen for the area, and I haven't seen any here at all. Why now?

I am working on a new design. Hopefully I will have this up by late evening, or tomorrow sometime. It will depend on how long it takes it to render. Finished my work that was in my inbox. Just designing and waiting on incoming requests. Ahhh... Back to it.

"Nude man threatens neighbors with sword

Police arrested a 44 year-old Iowa man Sunday after he allegedly chased and threatened his neighbors with a sword while nude.

The victims told police their neighbor was in his front yard naked and became upset when they told him to put some clothes on. He then went inside his residence, retrieved a sword with a 2-foot 6-inch blade and chased and threatened his neighbors on their own property.

The man was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine upon conviction."
