Robot Chicken

After watching this late last night on [Adult Swim]. Robot Chicken is sick, and twisted. *lol* I love it.

It's Snowing Today

We are suppose to get 3 to 5 inches, but we'll see.

My renders are downstairs waiting on me, but it's dreary downstairs. Depressing. It's dark and gloomy. I'd rather stay upstairs. So, I can't be bothered to get the renders that I've done. I think I prefer to just start a new one on my iBook.

There is a newer version of MacJournal 2.6.1 out, so give it a whirl. Freeware. I prefer this particular journal, because you can password it, and you can have multiple journals. You can also post to LiveJournal or Blogger with it.

Update: It's up to 8 inches now for the storm. Big Snow Storm Moving Up The East Coast

Patiently Waiting

For this render to complete. It's taken most of the day, and it's still 97% complete. Right now I'm sampling the new Tori Amos Album "The Beekeeper". I like it so far. *smiles*

Grandparents

I talked to my Grandparents today. I wished my Grandfather a Happy Birthday. Today is his Birthday. Apparently Grandma is making him a homemade chocolate cake with pink icing. Yummy! Anything that my Grandmother makes homemade turns out wonderful. She's a baker, and I'm glad I get my joy of cooking from her. When I do cook that is. I haven't burned anything yet that I've made.

Grandma has been suffering off and on for about two years with bladder infections. She has a new doctor now, so hopefully this will be resolved soon. Grandpa has two disks in his back that are disintegrating. Not sure yet if they are going to plan surgery or other yet. He seems to be managing ok for his age.

I have another render that is still going. Not sure when it will complete. It's been doing it's thing for over five hours now. I will put it up when it's done. I wish I had a G5. It would be much faster if I did.

*sighs*

Whatnot...

Today feels like such a lazy day. I'm sitting here deciding whether to run to the store or not, because what I want to run out for I really don't need. I'm waffling back and forth between designing and reading my book. I feel restless. I feel bored with my routine.

Update2: All uploaded to deviantart.

Update3: I have this particlar abstract in several colors so far. The colors are; blue, red, green, and pink. I'll try and get resizes of these up tomorrow sometime.

New Design

Working on a new abstract design. I think it's come out rather well, and it's still rendering. I'm not sure how long this will take. It looks like aproximately an hour or so. I'll throw it up when It's complete. Most likely tomorrow.

Update: I will be throwing this up today as soon as I get my work done, and deal with the trackback spammers. Criminals they are.

Americas Army 2.3

I downloaded several patches to update me from 2.2.1 to 2.3, and they were all currupt for some reason. Ugh. Damnit! I am now downloading the full install of 2.3, and it's going to take over 8 hours to complete. Damnit! I wanted to play with the boys this evening. :|

Update: I finally have this all installed now, and it seems to have remembered my settings. Plus it's loading the server list the way it should be. The update for this was for two new maps. What other bug issues that were in 2.2.1 I assume they fixed. I have no idea, and I can't be bothered to look.

Hacking Napster?! I think not!

Look this isn't a hack. Only wanna be hackers would say this is a hack. Please read Napsters explanation before you go spouting it's a hack. That way YOU don't look like an idiot.

Napster - Click on "A Note From Napsters CTO". In the upper right hand corner of the page.

It has come to our attention that there are a number of inaccurate statements posted by various sources on the Internet regarding the security of Napster and Napster To Go. As Napster's CTO, I would like to officially state that neither Napster To Go, Napster, nor Windows Media DRM have been hacked. In the interest of providing the most accurate information to consumers, the following is some background on the subject.

There is a program that allows a user to record the playback of tracks directly from the computer's sound card. This process can be likened to the way people used to record songs from the radio onto cassette tapes, but instead of capturing the music on a tape, the file is converted into a new, unprotected digital format. This program does not break the encryption of the files, which can only be recorded one at a time making the process quite laborious. It would take 10 hours to convert 10 hours of music in this manner. It is important to note that this program is not specific to Napster; files from all legal subscription and pay-per-download services can be copied in this way.

We hope that the information provided above clarifies the matter and puts questions regarding the security of Napster and Napster To Go to rest. Napster's mission is to provide consumers with a legal environment in which they can experience and discover the world's largest collection of digital music. We believe that artists should be compensated for their work and intellectual property rights should be respected. While we acknowledge there are always going to be those who do not share our belief, we remain committed to providing the most enjoyable and flexible digital music experience for those who do.

Bank, and Mall

Before heading off to the King of Prussia Mall we stopped by the bank to take out some cash for the trip. On the way into the Citizens Bank (Maple Glen) parking lot we notice that a man hole cover is missing. I take a couple of pictures, and then wifey runs into the bank to let them know that someone stole their man hole cover. I can't believe that no one noticed it gone. The thing is flooded with water. Not to mention you could screw up your car, or lose a small child.

Anyway, I picked up my pants at Brooks Brother's. Putting them on again after being tailored made me feel all tingly inside. *hehe* We walked around for a bit. Went into the Discovery store to look around. We spent WAY too much time in there. Then looked around in EB Games, Sears, and Brookstone. Oh, and there was a pit stop at the bathrooms.

On the way home we stopped and picked up a few things at the grocery store. Toiletries and such. We then picked up some Quiznos subs for chow. Mmmm.

Super Milk Chan

Ummmm *scratches my head*

supermilkchan.jpg"Meet Milk-chan, the weirdest superheroine you've probably ever seen. Be warned: she may look cute, but she's no poster girl! She may not have super powers, but she's rude, crude, and doesn't give you-know-what about what you think about her drooling. Living six months behind on rent with an obsolete robot, a slug, and an out-of-control pet, Milk-chan answers whenever the President calls...if she feels like it.

The President's clueless, her missions are insane...but then the bad guys are nuts and so for that matter is our "heroine". The world is screwed...and it doesn't care. Welcome to The Super Milk-chan Show.

Super Milk-chan got its start as a segment in the Fuji Television show Flyer back in 1998. Its 14 episode original run developed a bit of a cult following, which precipitated Milk graduating from training pants to her own television show. When A.D. Vision acquired the rights to Oh! Super Milk-chan, they and Industrial Smoke & Mirrors (the dub studio upon whom ADV frequently relies) proceeded to do a little work on it. Since it's only two baby steps away from the average American animated crude comedy (ie. South Park), they made the jokes and plotline fit better to American tastes.

The original version of the show also had live action footage. They decided to replace them with behind-the-scenes skits from within Industrial Smoke & Mirrors. They also inserted the original 8-minute Super Milk-chan segments from Flyer into the show as Vintage Milk-chan. But to be fair to the purists, ADV made sure to keep the original footage. The Super Milk-chan Show is packaged with two discs per volume. One is the aforementioned "Made for America" version; the other is the original Japanese version.

Just remember, keep the kids away from this. It may look cute, but it's cute in a Ren & Stimpy sort of way, with the language out of South Park thrown in for good measure. "

This is absolutely nutty Anime. *lol* My face gets all twisted watching these episodes. I'm still not sure what to think of it.

Horrible Nightmare This Morning

I awoke from a horrible nightmare this morning. The wifey touched me and I woke up at a key point in the dream where I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Not in a girly way, but screaming, "Leave me the fuck alone!" Apparently I was mumbling, and talking in my sleep before the scream.

This was one LONG dream.

------

It all started with the purchase of a new house for the two of us. It was small yet quaint. Perfect for two, and our cat. It had a warm feeling, but also this underlying feeling for me of 'we are not alone'. Strange things started happening. The piano was playing by itself. A concerto. I couldn't place it, but I've heard it before. I started feeling, and hearing other things. Then at some point I started to see 'them'. (A small boy, a cat (dark colored tabby with white paws), a woman (at least I think it was a woman), a man.) I witnessed the woman puking in our toilet (and heard it). A man came from the room across the hall (which fucking freaked me out) to her in the bathroom carrying a sheet. I move to watch their interaction. He wraps her in the sheet, and mutters some impatient profane words at her. Picking her up off of the floor in the sheet, slinging her over his shoulder, and walked back into the room across the hall from which he came. Dropping her, or rather tossing her onto the floor in the room. She screams. I start feeling enraged with the treatment of her by him. I screamed, "Why don't you pick on someone your own size fucker! How bout me?!" Next thing I know he comes at me like lightning in this wisp of black mist. I feel him grab the front of my shirt with both his hands. He throws me into the wall on the other side of the room. It knocks the wind out of me. I become more enraged (fuck him, the coward), and pick myself up off of the floor. I look around ready to fight. He's gone. I can no longer hear the crying of the woman.

The next interaction...

A boy, and his cat. I hear a child playing, talking. I go looking. I say, "Hello". I feel a nuzzle in my crotch kind of like a dog sniffing. I hear a cat meow. Annoyed meow. I say, "WTF". The cat appears like black mist, it fully forms to this dark tabby cat. I push it away. It seems feral and a bit ill tempered. I feel the boy whispering in my ear, not making much sense. At least I could make no sense of his ramblings. However, it?s making me feel icky, and that cold chill is running up my spine to the base of my neck. The cat disappears. I?m scratched. Fuck, that hurt. I?m bleeding through my jeans. The cat scratched me. I look around feeling paranoid. The wifey comes in. She had been out shopping. I explain everything that happened. She doesn?t believe me.

The dream skips?

I?m alone again, and I can clearly see the boy, his cat. The man is there. I feel his presence. He appears as a dark mist, and I hear his growling. The boy says to me while the cat is meowing in a nasty way, ?He?s come for you?. I turn my head back to ?the man?. Lightning quick again he attacks me. Kicking and beating the ever loving shit out of me. I?m screaming, ?Fuck you! Leave me alone!?

------

I?ve never felt so completely helpless or week in my life? I hope I never have this dream again. Next time I?ll remind myself in the dream, it?s just a dream.

Today

After a morning 'hangup' we hopped into the car and drove to StarBucks. Once the coffee was attained we headed over to Micro Center to pickup wifey's iShuffle. That done we jumped in the car and drove a little further to King of Prussia Mall. There we went into the Apple Store, and then to Brooks Brother's to return my dress pants, and get another pair that were feminine yet not too flaired in the legs. Wound up paying a little more for them, but I got them fitted while I was there. I pick them up on the 16th. On the way back home we were held up (traffic here sucks anyway) by President Bush's little visit. He came in through the air base here. Thanks for the traffic jam!

Super Bowl Day Boredom

I did my weekend work load. That's that.

I'm sitting here killing time. Played in Photoshop for a bit today. I'm listening to my iPod and sipping a beer before the game starts. Overall, it's been a boring day so far. Sundays always are quite boring for me.

I really hate Super Bowl pre-game B.S. Ugh. It's torture to watch. I'd rather be watching a good soccer or hockey game instead. I often wonder why American football is called 'football' at all. It doesn't make sense when it's mostly pass and carry. When soccer is the sport that should be called football, really.

In A Neutral Mood

I received a Valentines Day card in the mail today from my good friend Pookzilla. It was quite a surprise given I'm not the type of girl that gets Valentines Day cards, and whatnot. *chuckles* It was a nice thing to receive, and it's greatly appreciated.

I'm currently working on another creation in photoshop. Another abstract. I might work on this more this evening over Remote Desktop. It's a bit chilly in the basement. Heat rises, so anything coming out of the vents is cold in the basement. Not that I'm complaining. I'm just stating. *lol*

I talked to my Mom today. She found a new job, seems to be doing just fine, and is happy with her new life. Though, she still feels lonely from time to time, but she's happy doing her own thing. It's the longest I think I've talked to her in a while. 52 minutes, and 49 seconds. I enjoyed the talk.

Update 9:53pm: I didn't work on my abstract over Remote Desktop due to latency issues, but I did create something new. Anyway, I'm sitting drinking red wine, and surfing the net for a bit. Oh, hum.
